Aaron Schwartz (Canadian Actor)
Aaron Schwartz (born 1948/1949) is a Canadian actor, director, photographer and copyright lawyer. Life and career Schwartz was born in 1949 in Theodore, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated from Swarthmore College in 1970; in 1972 he received an MFA degree in Theater from Columbia University. He earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, Toronto, in 1993, and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Schwartz spent his early career in theatre. In 1987, he produced and directed ''Bat Masterson's Last Regular Job'', by Bill Ballantyne, at the Toronto Free Theatre. He had previously directed the world premiere of Ballantyne's first play, ''The Al Cornell Story'', at the Theatre Passe Muraille Back Space in Toronto. Theodore ( 2016 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Insinger No. 275 and Census Division No. 9. Theodore is located on Saskatchewan Highway 16, the Yellowhead Highway, in southeastern Saskatchewan. ''Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean'' is a 1976 play by Ed Graczyk, originally performed at the Players Theatre Columbus in Columbus, Ohio. Despite the interpretation of the name in the title, it refers to the legendary "Rebel Without a Cause", James Dean, as opposed to Jimmy Dean, the country-western singer who had a hit in 1961 with ''Big Bad John''. The play, in fact, revolves around a James Dean fan club that reunites at a Texas five-and-dime store. In 1982, filmmaker Robert Altman directed both a Broadway version at the Martin Beck Theater and a film adaptation of the same name. Altman's version of the play was not well-received with critics at the time. Peter James Yates (24 July 1929 – 9 January 2011) was an English film director and producer. Biography Early life Yates was born in Aldershot, Hampshire. The son of an army officer, he attended Charterhouse School as a boy, graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and worked for some years as an actor, director and stage manager. He directed plays in London and New York. He also spent two years as racing manager for Stirling Moss and Peter Collins.
