Aaron Robbins
Aaron Robbins (born July 16, 1983) is a former American football linebacker. He played as a tight end and defensive end for the University of Wyoming. In 2007, Robbins signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent. Early life Born the son of Robin Sydnor and Robert Robbins, Aaron attended Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado. Robbins was named first team all-conference as a linebacker, while also being named second team all-conference as a fullback for the Buffalo. In addition, Robbins was named a 5A All-State Honorable Mention as a linebacker. After not playing a year after high school, Robbins signed with the University of Wyoming on July 8, 2001. Robbins was not heavily recruited, as he did not receive any other FBS scholarship offers. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. 2004 Wyoming Cowboys Football Team
The 2004 Wyoming Cowboys football team represented the University of Wyoming in the 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Cowboys offense scored 318 points while the defense allowed 297 points. Led by head coach Joe Glenn, the Cowboys competed in the Las Vegas Bowl. Preseason During the off season, War Memorial Stadium was upgraded with new railings installed in certain areas as well as more handicap accessible. The big concern coming into Spring Training was the lack of depth on defense, a young and inexperienced offensive line and a poor running game. 13 Starters and 38 lettermen returned. Fall practice began on August 11, 2004. The Cowboys participated in two inter squad scrimmages. The first one was held August 21 and the second one was 5 days later on the 26th.
