Aaron Lowe
Aaron Lowe (born October 12, 1974) is a Canadian ice dancer. With partner and wife Megan Wing, he is a two-time Four Continents bronze medallist. Career Lowe was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began in hockey at the age of seven and switched to figure skating when he was nine. He began skating with Megan Wing in 1986. They won six bronze medals and four silver medals at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships. In 2006, the duo competed in the Winter Olympics, where they finished 11th overall. On April 25, 2006, Wing and Lowe announced officially their retirement from competitive skating. Wing and Lowe coach in British Columbia. Ice Dancing
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. Couples and friends would skate waltzes, marches, and other social dances. The first steps in ice dance were similar to those used in ballroom dancing. Zhao Kai Pang (born March 5, 1995) is a Canadian former competitive ice dancer. With partner Madeline Edwards, he is the 2014 World Junior bronze medalist and 2013 Canadian national junior champion. Career Zhao Kai Pang teamed up with Madeline Edwards in December 2007. They debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2011, placing fifth in Austria. The following season, they won a pair of bronze medals at their JGP assignments, in France and Turkey, and gold in the junior event at the 2013 Canadian Championships. Nicole Orford (born October 10, 1992) is a Canadian former ice dancer. With former partner Thomas Williams, she placed fifth at the 2014 Four Continents Championships. She teamed up with Asher Hill in 2015. Personal life Nicole Orford was born in Calgary, Alberta. She is majoring in health sciences at Simon Fraser University. With her skating partner, Nikolas Wamsteeker, she is the 2020 Bavarian Open bronze medallist and 2018 Lake Placid Ice Dance International bronze medallist. Tyler Gunara (born August 18, 2002) is a Canadian ice dancer. With his skating partner, Miku Makita, he is the ISU Junior Grand Prix in France, 2021 JGP France silver medallist and 2022 Canadian Figure Skating Championships, 2022 Canadian Junior bronze medallist. Makita/Gunara finished in the top eight at the 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2020 World Junior Championships and competed at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics.
