Aaron Jones (cricketer)
Aaron Jones (born 19 October 1994) is an American cricketer who plays as batsman for the United States national cricket team. He also plays for Barbados and Combined Campuses and Colleges in West Indian domestic cricket. Biography Jones was born in Queens, New York. A right-handed top-order batsman and occasional leg spin bowler, he made his List A debut for the team in January 2016, playing against the Leeward Islands in the 2015–16 Regional Super50. He made his first-class debut for Barbados in the 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition on 26 October 2017. In October 2018, he was named in the United States' squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. He was the leading run-scorer for the United States in the tournament, with 200 runs in five matches. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that was played as part of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It took place in November 2021 in Antigua, with the top two teams progressing to one of two global qualifiers. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers were played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Originally the tournament was scheduled to take place from 18 to 24 August 2020. However, in June 2020, the tournament was postponed until 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In December 2020, the ICC updated the qualification pathway following the disruption from the pandemic. The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019, with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team.
