Aaron Hawkins (politician)
Aaron Garth Hawkins (born ) is a New Zealand politician who served as the 58th mayor of Dunedin, New Zealand from 2019 to 2022. He was elected as Mayor on 12 October 2019 with 54.54% of the vote, after two prior terms as councillor. He is endorsed by the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand, Green Party. He unsuccessfully stood for re-election as mayor 2022 Dunedin mayoral election, in 2022. Early life and career before politics Hawkins was born in Invercargill but has lived in Dunedin since 2002 to study at the University of Otago. He lives in Port Chalmers with his wife (artist Anya Sinclair) and son. Before entering politics, Hawkins was the host of Radio One (New Zealand), Radio One's breakfast show. Dave Cull
David Charles Cull (1 April 1950 – 27 April 2021) was the mayor of the city of Dunedin in New Zealand. He became the 57th Mayor of Dunedin in October 2010 and was re-elected in both the 2013 mayoralty race and 2016 mayoral election. Before politics, he was a presenter for Television New Zealand and an author. Early life and career before politics Cull was born and grew up in Invercargill, where he attended Southland Boys' High School. He obtained a BA and PG Dip in political science at the University of Otago. Transgender
A transgender (often abbreviated as trans) person is someone whose gender identity or gender expression does not correspond with their sex assigned at birth. Three Waters Reform Programme
The Water Services Reform Programme (formerly known as Three Waters) is a public infrastructure restructuring programme launched by the Sixth Labour Government to centralise the management of water supply and sanitation in New Zealand. Generation Zero is a youth-led organisation in New Zealand focused on transitioning society away from its dependency on fossil fuels and combating climate change.
