Aaron Covington
Aaron Covington (born June 5, 1984) is an American screenwriter and sound designer from Northwest Indiana. Early life He attended Ohio State University and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2011 with a MFA in film production. He took part in numerous productions for the USC School of Cinematic Arts as a sound designer. Career Covington co-wrote the screenplay for the 2015 film ''Creed'', a spin-off-sequel to the ''Rocky'' film series, starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, with Ryan Coogler, who also directed the film. Covington is a personal friend of Coogler, and the two worked together with Stallone to green-light the film with MGM studios. Covington wrote and directed the storyline for the MyCareer mode in the video game ''NBA 2K17 ''NBA 2K17'' is a 2016 basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. ''Fruitvale Station'' is a 2013 American biographical drama film written and directed by Ryan Coogler. It is Coogler's feature directorial debut and is based on the events leading to the death of Oscar Grant, a young man killed in 2009 by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) police officer Johannes Mehserle at the Fruitvale district station in Oakland. The film stars Michael B. Jordan as Grant, with Kevin Durand and Chad Michael Murray playing the two BART police officers involved in Grant's death, although their names were changed for the film. Melonie Diaz, Ahna O'Reilly and Octavia Spencer also star. Apollo Creed is a fictional character from the ''Rocky'' films, played by Carl Weathers.
