Aaron Booth (rugby League)
Aaron Booth (born 1 October 1995) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played as a for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL, and is currently an assistant coach of their NRLW side. He previously played for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League. Background Born in Sydney, Booth was raised in Brunswick Heads and played his junior rugby league for the Mullumbimby Giants. He attended Palm Beach Currumbin State High School before being signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Playing career In 2011, Booth played for Gold Coast Green in the Cyril Connell Cup. In 2012, he played for Gold Coast Green in the Mal Meninga Cup and later for Gold Coast White in 2013. In 2014, Booth joined the Rabbitohs' NRL Under-20s, Under-20 side, playing for 40 games for them over two seasons. The 2022 Queensland Cup season was the 27th season of Queensland's top-level statewide rugby league competition run by the Queensland Rugby League. The competition, known as the Hostplus Cup due to sponsorship, featured 14 teams playing a 24-week long season (including finals) from March to September. It is the first season played under Hostplus sponsorship, after 11 seasons known as the Intrust Super Cup. Norths Devils won their second consecutive grand final, defeating the Redcliffe Dolphins 16–10 to take their third Queensland Cup premiership. The Burleigh Bears are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Gold Coast, Australia. They compete in Queensland's top rugby league competition, the Queensland Cup. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10. Justin Holbrook
Justin Holbrook (born 13 January 1976) is an Australian professional rugby league coach who is the head coach of the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL and former professional rugby league footballer. He previously coached St Helens in the Super League. He played as a goal-kicking in the 1990s and 2000s for the Newcastle Knights, Penrith Panthers and the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League. Playing career Holbrook commenced his National Rugby League career with the Newcastle Knights in 1999 under coach Warren Ryan. He spent the 2001 NRL season with the Penrith Panthers under coach Royce Simmons. For the 2002 NRL season Holbrook played for the Sydney Roosters under coach Ricky Stuart.
