Aaron Beard
Aaron Paul Beard (born 15 October 1997) is an English cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 8 May 2016 for Essex against Sri Lankans during Sri Lanka's tour of England. Opening the bowling, he took a wicket in each of his first two overs, finishing with figures of 4/62 in the first innings. He made his List A debut on 5 May 2019, for Essex in the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 August 2019, for Essex in the 2019 t20 Blast. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. Mason Crane
Mason Sidney Crane (born 18 February 1997) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire. He is a right-arm leg break bowler and right-handed batsman. He also played for the England national cricket team in 2017 & 2018. Domestic career Crane was a member of the Hampshire County Cricket Club academy since the age of 14, where he was under the guidance of former Hampshire spinner Rajesh Maru at Lancing College, West Sussex. Under Maru's guidance he impressed straight away despite concerns about his height and quickly he became a leg break bowler with good control as well as a googly. Crane has also been a member of Sussex Cricket League club Worthing Cricket Club since the age of 10, playing for the club's junior teams and also claiming 54 wickets for the Worthing CC 1st XI. 2019 T20 Blast
The 2019 Vitality Blast is the 2019 season of the t20 Blast, a professional Twenty20 cricket league that was played in England and Wales. It was the second season in which the domestic T20 competition, run by the ECB, has been branded as the Vitality Blast due to a new sponsorship deal. The league consisted of the 18 first-class county teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each with fixtures played, slightly later than usual, between July and September. Finals Day took place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham on 21 September 2019. Worcestershire Rapids were the defending champions. 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup
The 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that formed part of the 2019 domestic cricket season in England and Wales. The tournament was won by Somerset, their first win in the tournament since 2001. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side and had List A cricket status. All eighteen first-class counties competed in the tournament, which due to the 2019 Cricket World Cup being hosted in England took place at the beginning of the English cricket season starting on 17 April 2019, with the final taking place just over a month later at Lord's on 25 May 2019. The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured England from 8 May to 5 July 2016 for a three-match Test series, a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) against the England cricket team. England won the Test series 2–0, the ODI series 3–0 and won the one-off T20I match by 8 wickets. They also played two first-class matches against Essex and Leicestershire prior to the Test series, and two ODI matches against Ireland prior to the ODI series. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out").
