Aandhi (TV Series)
''Aandhi'' is a Hindi television serial that aired on Zee TV in November 2003. The serial was produced by Manish Goswami. It was based on the concept of how a mistaken identity can bring ups and downs in one's relationships. Plot The story is based on the life of a girl named Chandni, who gets mistaken for someone else. Chandni is in love with a boy of whom her father disapproves. She leaves home and then her life takes a new turn. A friend of hers who's a young widow dies unexpectedly, leaving her child in Chandni's custody. The friend's in-laws, who hadn't met her earlier, assume Chandni to be their daughter-in-law. Manish R Goswami (born 8 October 1961) is an Indian television producer and Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Siddhant Cinevision Private Limited. He is the founder of Siddhant Cinevision Limited and did debut as television producer with the Hindi Serial Parampara in 1993, which was telecasted on Zee TV and a popular serial among the viewers. ''Aandhi'' () is a 1975 Indian political drama film starring Sanjeev Kumar and Suchitra Sen, and directed by Gulzar. At the time it was alleged that the film was based on the life of the then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her relationship with her estranged husband, but in reality, only the look was inspired by the politician Tarkeshwari Sinha and Indira Gandhi. The story is based on a chance meeting of an estranged couple after several years, when wife Aarti Devi, now a leading politician happens to stay in the hotel run by her husband during an election campaign. The movie is noted for its songs composed by Rahul Dev Burman, written by Gulzar and sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. Mahalakshmi Iyer is an Indian playback singer, best known for her Hindi, Assamese and Tamil songs.
