Aamir Mehmood Kiani ( ur, ) is a Pakistani politician who served as Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, from 20 August 2018 to 18 April 2019. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till January 2023. Political career He ran for a seat of the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from NA-56 Rawalpindi-VII in the 2002 Pakistani general election, but was unsuccessful. He received 3,182 votes and lost to Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, an independent candidate. Ahmad vacated the seat in favour of NA-55 Rawalpindi-VI, another seat he won, and Kiani ran as an independent candidate for the subsequent by-election in NA-56 Rawalpindi-VII, but was again unsuccessful. Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party
Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP; ur, , ) is a political party in Pakistan. It was founded by Jahangir Tareen on 8 June 2023. It was registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on 5 October 2023. History The pre-existing tensions between Tareen and Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, combined with the May 9 protests, ultimately resulted in numerous politicians resigning from the PTI and the subsequent formation of the new political party. 2018 Pakistani General Election
General elections were held in Pakistan on Wednesday, 25 July 2018 to elect the members of 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan, the Pakistan Muslim League led by Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistan Peoples Party led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority; the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal
The Muttahida Majlis–e–Amal (MMA; Urdu: , "United Council of Action") is a political alliance consisting of conservative, Islamist, religious, and far-right parties of Pakistan. Naeem Siddiqui (the founder of Tehreek e Islami) proposed such an alliance of all the religious parties back in the 1990s. Qazi Hussain Ahmad endeavored for it and due to his efforts, it was formed in 2002 in a direct opposition to the policies led by President Pervez Musharraf to support for the War in Afghanistan. The alliance more densely consolidated its position during the nationwide general elections held in 2002.
