Aadu Must
Aadu Must (25 March 1951 – 20 July 2023) was an Estonian historian and politician. He was a member of the XI, XII, XIII and XIV Riigikogu. Life and career Aadu Must was born in Pärnu on 25 March 1951. In 1985 he graduated from University of Tartu in history (PhD). From 1976 he was a lecturer (from 1997 professor) in Tartu University. Must was a member of Committee of Estonia. He was the chairman of Tartu City Council (intermittently 2001–2020). From 1996 he was a member of Estonian Central Party The Estonian Centre Party ( et, Eesti Keskerakond, EK) is a populist political party in Estonia. A knight is a person granted an honorary title of knighthood by a head of state (including the Pope) or representative for service to the monarch, the church or the country, especially in a military capacity. Knighthood finds origins in the Greek ''hippeis'' and ''hoplite'' (ἱππεῖς) and Roman '' eques'' and ''centurion'' of classical antiquity. An academy (Attic Greek: Ἀκαδήμεια; Koine Greek Ἀκαδημία) is an institution of secondary or tertiary higher learning (and generally also research or honorary membership). The name traces back to Plato's school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece. The Riigikogu (; from Estonian ''riigi-'', of the state, and ''kogu'', assembly) is the unicameral parliament of Estonia. In addition to approving legislation, the Parliament appoints high officials, including the Prime Minister and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and elects (either alone or, if necessary, together with representatives of local government within a broader electoral college) the President.
