Aabaar Bochhor Kuri Pore
Aabaar Bochhor Kuri Pore(') is a Bengali album by various musical groups and artists with a collaboration by the rock band Moheener Ghoraguli. It was released in 1995 by Asha Audio at Kolkata. This album is not an original Moheen's album, like their earlier releases. It was released nearly twenty years after the last album by the group had been released in 1979. Many of the songs were not composed by Moheener Ghoraguli, and none of them were sung by the group. Where Moheener Ghoraguli acted as an umbrella to bring disparate bands and individuals together and provided a platform to these upcoming talents of the Bengali music scene to perform. Since their last album, most of the Moheener Ghoraguli members had moved ahead with their careers and lives, and so the only person involved in the making of this, and the next three albums, was Gautam Chattopadhyay. Tapas Bapi Das (also known as Bapida, or its variations Bapi Da, Bapi-da, (22 September 1954 – 25 June 2023) was an Indian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was one of the founding members of the Bengali rock band Moheener Ghoraguli established in 1975 in Kolkata. Early life and career Born on 22 September 1954 into a typical Bengali family, the fourth son of Narayan Chandra Das and Jyotsna Das, Das's musical journey started from an early age. His taste in music was wide and diverse. He also considered his mother, Jyotsna Das as his first Guru or teacher. A self-taught guitarist, Das began playing the instrument during college. Krosswindz (Bengali: ক্রসউইন্ডস) is a Bengali rock/folk-fusion band, based in Kolkata, India. They have played all over India and abroad and have helped urbanize the folk music of Bengal and have tried to make it popular. Bonnie Chakraborty
Bonnie Chakraborty is an Indian playback singer. he was the lead vocalist of Kolkata based band Krosswindz until 1998. He has sung many songs in several languages including Hindi, Tamil and Bengali for various films. Career Chakraborty teamed with Neil Mukherjee and formed a band, Kashti which was promoted by Zee Music. They produced an album of 8 songs that came and went unnoticed by the general public, although it was popular in the music circles of Mumbai. Arunendu Das (1938 – 2 February 2019) was a Burmese born Bengali architect, singer-songwriter and musician. He was one of the pioneers of late 20th-century alternative Bengali songwriting. While Moheener Ghoraguli is considered to be the first Bengali Band, Arunendu was the first person to compose Bengali lyrics for songs written specifically to be accompanied by guitar, a genus of Bengali music which has become increasingly popular over time. Early life Arunendu Das was born in 1938 at Rangoon (now Yangon) to Jodhulal Das – a medical doctor and Amiyabala Das – a housewife. Antara Chowdhury (born 2 June 1970, in Mumbai, India) is an Indian singer and composer. She is a daughter of Late renowned Composer and Poet Salil Chowdhury and famous singer Late Sabita Chowdhury. Lakkhichhara ( bn, লক্ষ্মীছাড়া) is a rock band, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. History The band was formed in 1999. This band initially started playing professionally in college fests, hotels and pubs. In 2001 they recorded their debut album. The album was not commercially successful but some major hits like "Care Korina" and "Shudhu Chai Tomay" were featured on radio channels in Kolkata.
