Aaahh Belinda
''Aaahh Belinda'' is a 1986 Turkish fantastic comedy film, directed by Atıf Yılmaz, featuring Müjde Ar as a young actress appearing in a TV-commercial for a shampoo, who finds herself transported into the role she plays. The film screened in competition at the 23rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, where it won Golden Oranges for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. Synopsis Serap, a young actress with a strong, lively personality and a special dislike for middle-class family life, takes part in a TV commercial for a recently marketed shampoo, "Belinda". She plays the role of a typical housewife called Naciye. Atıf Yılmaz Batıbeki (9 December 1925 – 5 May 2006) was a renowned Turkey, Turkish film director, screenwriter, and film producer. He was very much a legend in the film industry of Turkey with 119 movies directed. He also wrote 53 screenplays and produced 28 movies since 1951. He was active in almost every period of the Turkish film industry. Early life Atıf Yılmaz was born on 9 December 1925 in Mersin, Turkey to a Kurdish people, Kurdish family originally from Palu, Turkey, Palu. Fatoş Sezer (31 January 1958 – 1 June 2011) was a Turkish actress. Life and career Fatoş Sezer was born in 1958 in Gölcük as the youngest of three children in her family. Levend or levendi (Arabic ''lawend'') was a name for irregular soldiers. The term originated with the Ottoman Navy, but eventually spread to encompass most irregular troops. The origin of the term is probably from Italian ''levanti'', and was used by the Venetians for the various local troops they raised in the coasts of the Balkans, i.e. Christian Greeks, Albanians, and Dalmatians, to serve in the Venetian navy or as auxiliary troops. The Ottomans, who relied on the same manpower pool (eventually along with Muslim Anatolian Turks), borrowed the name.
