A Wilhelm Scream (self Titled EP)
''A Wilhelm Scream'', released on November 20, 2009 through Paper + Plastick, is the second EP and in all the fifth release from the Massachusetts-based melodic hardcore band A Wilhelm Scream since changing their name from Smackin' Isaiah in 2002. It is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed third full-length album ''Career Suicide'' and has thus far received very favourable reviews. The EP marked the debut of guitarist Mike Supina, who replaced longtime member Chris Levesque and took over lead guitar duties from Trevor Reilly (though Reilly continues to play all leads and solos on songs written before the EP). Recording and composition It was revealed in a July 2009 press release, featuring a partial interview with bassist Brian Robinson, that the band recorded this project themselves and it was therefore produced and recorded at their very own Black & Blue Studios in New Bedford, Massachusetts. “Your Love” is a song by the English rock band The Outfield, taken from their 1985 debut album ''Play Deep'', released in early 1986 and written by guitarist John Spinks. In the United States, the song reached #6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #7 on the Mainstream Rock chart in 1986. Background The song was written by Outfield guitarist John Spinks. Spinks was living in east London and invited the vocalist of the band, Tony Lewis, to his flat for a writing session. The two developed "Your Love" on the porch of the flat. Lewis sat on an amplifier and Spinks began writing the opening lyrics. According to Lewis, the song took only twenty minutes to write. The song's lyrics have no basis in reality: "Josie" was not a real person, and the song is an entirely invented story. The Outfield
The Outfield were an English rock band based in London, England. The band achieved success in the mid-1980s and are best remembered for their hit single, " Your Love". The Fest
The Fest is an annual music festival in Gainesville, Florida, United States, organized by Tony Weinbender, formerly of No Idea Records. It is a predominantly punk rock and pop-punk festival, though there are also a good number of indie rock, hardcore punk, metal, and ska acts. The Fest takes place each year on the weekend of the Florida–Georgia football game (around Halloween) held in Jacksonville. Reading And Leeds Festivals
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house.
