Mira (), designation Omicron Ceti (ο Ceti, abbreviated Omicron Cet, ο Cet), is a red-giant star estimated to be 200–400 light-years from the Sun in the constellation Cetus. ο Ceti is a binary stellar system, consisting of a variable red giant (Mira A) along with a white dwarf companion (Mira B). Mira A is a pulsating variable star and was the first non-supernova variable star discovered, with the possible exception of Algol. It is the prototype of the Mira variables. Daphne (; ; el, Δάφνη, , ), a minor figure in Greek mythology, is a naiad, a variety of female nymph associated with fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of freshwater. Israel has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 1964. Despite its relatively small film-making industry, ten Israeli films have been nominated for the Foreign Language Oscar, placing it in the Top Ten most nominated countries of all time. However, as of 2022, no Israeli film has ever won the coveted award. Since 1991, the Israeli Ophir Award winner for Best Film is automatically designated the Israeli submission for the Oscar. This is a list of submissions to the 54th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole. Countries are invited by the Academy to submit their best films for competition according to strict rules, with only one film being accepted from each country. Dina Peskin, known professionally as Dina Doron and Dina Doronne, (Hebrew: דינה דורון; born 15 March 1940) is an Israeli film and stage actress. Biography Doron was born in Afula, Israel on 15 March 1940 to Zivia and Emanuel Peskin. Doron is Jewish. She has often portrayed Jewish women throughout her career. She moved to New York to study theatre and dance in the 1950s. She trained in modern dance at the Martha Graham School. Her American theatre debut was on Broadway as Anne Frank in the play ''The Diary of Anne Frank''.
