A Taste Of Evil
''A Taste of Evil'' is a 1971 American made-for-television horror-thriller film directed by John Llewellyn Moxey and starring Barbara Stanwyck, Barbara Parkins and Roddy McDowall. It premiered as the ''ABC Movie of the Week'' on October 12, 1971. Plot Susan Wilcox is a young woman who was raped by an unknown man when she was 13. Traumatized by the experience, she suffered a mental breakdown, did not speak a word for two years, and was entered in a Swiss sanatorium. Upon leaving the psychiatric institution for the first time, she returns to her old home where her mother, Miriam, is now in an unstable marriage with Harold Jennings, an alcoholic. Susan returns to the woods where she was raped, and is followed there by someone. She suspects that this person is Harold, but Miriam tells her that Harold left her the previous night. Jimmy Sangster
James Henry Kinmel Sangster (2 December 1927 – 19 August 2011) was a British screenwriter and director, most famous for his work on the initial horror films made by the British company Hammer Film Productions, Hammer Films, including ''The Curse of Frankenstein'' (1957) and ''Dracula (1958 film), Dracula'' (1958). Early life The son of an estate agent, Sangster was born in Kinmel Bay, Kimmel Bay, North Wales and was educated at Ewell Castle School in Surrey, and Llandaff Cathedral School in Cardiff. He began his film career, aged 16, as a Clapperboard, clapper-boy. After service with the Royal Air Force, RAF, he worked as a third assistant director on Ealing Studios, Ealing Studios productions, then joined Exclusive Studios (later Hammer Film Productions, Hammer Films) in 1949. Neil Oliver "Bing" Russell (May 5, 1926 – April 8, 2003) was an American actor and Class A minor-league baseball club owner. He was the father of Hollywood actor Kurt Russell and grandfather of ex–major league baseball player Matt Franco and actor Wyatt Russell. Early life Russell was born in Brattleboro, Vermont, the son of Ruth Stewart (née Vogel) and Warren Oliver Russell. He always wanted to become an actor and studied drama at Brattleboro High School. He grew up around the New York Yankees’ spring training camp in St. Petersburg, Florida, in the 1930s and 1940s, where his father ran a floatplane service.
