A Symphony Of Lights
A Symphony of Lights () is a daily light and sound show across the Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. It is the world's largest permanent light and sound show according to Guinness World Records. As of 2017, there were 42 participating buildings in the show. Background The show is organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and is displayed every night with good weather at 8 pm Hong Kong Time (UTC+8). An orchestration of music, decoration lights, laser light displays, and pyrotechnic fireworks, the multimedia light and sound show lasts for around 10 minutes and was conceptualised, created, and installed by LaserVision. The Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement, also known as the 2019 Hong Kong protests, or the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests, were a series of demonstrations from 15 March 2019 in response to the introduction by the Hong Kong government of the 2019 Hong Kong extradition bill, Fugitive Offenders amendment bill on extradition. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. Nicknamed the ''Indy'', it began as a broadsheet and changed to tabloid format in 2003. The last printed edition was published on Saturday 26 March 2016, leaving only the online edition. The Revenue Tower is a skyscraper located in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The tower rises 49 Storey, floors and in height. The building was completed in 1990. The Revenue Tower, which stands as the 93rd-tallest building in Hong Kong, is composed entirely of office space. The building, along with its twin tower, the Immigration Tower, house government offices. The rainstorm warning signals are a set of signals used in Hong Kong to alert the public about the occurrence of heavy rain which is likely to bring about major disruptions such as traffic congestion and floods. Hong Kong Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals
The Hong Kong tropical cyclone warning signals, or informally typhoon signals, are a set of signals used to indicate the threat or effects of a tropical cyclone. The Hong Kong Observatory issues the warning signal if a tropical cyclone approaches within of Hong Kong and poses a threat of deteriorating conditions in Hong Kong. The signals are represented as a set of numbers and symbols. Previously lights were also used at night. Signal System Beginning Local people in Hong Kong were warned of the hazardous wind conditions associated with tropical cyclones by means of a typhoon gun as early as August 1884.
