''A Shadow of My Future Self'' is the debut studio album by British singer-songwriter Ross Jennings. It was released on 19 November 2021 through Graphite Records. Unlike his more well-known Progressive music, Jennings' solo record follows a much more mainstream approach with Jennings directly citing Styx, Coldplay, Journey and Porcupine Tree as references. On 31 December 2021, Jennings announced on Instagram page that a follow-up album was in the works. Background The album's name is a play on the phrase "a shadow of my former self," but spins the phrase in a positive light, with the idea that the person you are now has room to improve and grow as a person. Ross William Jennings (born 7 February 1984) is a British progressive metal singer, most known for being a founder member and the lead vocalist of the bands Haken and Novena. As of 2020, he has released six albums with Haken (''Aquarius, Visions, The Mountain, Affinity, Vector'' and ''Virus''), one with Novena (''Eleventh Hour''), three with Redados (''Too Tired for Sleep, One Way Conversations and Turbo Torture: Train Like Dogs...Ride Like Gods'') and one solo album (''A Shadow of My Future Self''). "Solsbury Hill" is the debut solo single of English musician Peter Gabriel. He wrote the song about a spiritual experience atop Little Solsbury Hill in Somerset, England, after his departure from the progressive rock band Genesis (band), Genesis, of which he had been the lead singer since its inception. Banksy
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation.
