A music video was created for "Assad Is Dead". Critical reception David Jeffries of AllMusic gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5, saying, "Sole's 2012 effort is more connectable than his early work and worth a listen if alternative observations hold more attraction than easy answers." Sole (hip Hop Artist)
James Timothy "Tim" Holland Jr. (born September 25, 1977), better known by his stage name Sole, is an American underground hip hop artist from Portland, Maine. He is one of eight co-founders of the record label Anticon. He has been a member of the groups Northern Exposure, Live Poets, Deep Puddle Dynamics, So-Called Artists, Da Babylonianz, Sole and the Skyrider Band and Waco Boyz. Career Sole recorded his first demo in 1992. At age 15, he assembled 45 Below Records, which included rappers Alias, JD Walker, and producer DJ Moodswing9 (then known as Cuz the Highlander). Sole and Moodswing9 released the album ''Mad Skillz and Unpaid Billz'' together as Northern Exposure, selling more than 300 copies. ''Selling Live Water'' is a solo studio album by American hip hop artist Sole. It was released on Anticon in 2003. It peaked at number 126 on the CMJ Radio 200 chart, as well as number 7 on CMJ's Hip-Hop chart. Production ''Selling Live Water'' was produced by Telephone Jim Jesus, Alias, Odd Nosdam, and Jel. The album draws influence from Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn. In an interview with ''Westword'', Sole said, "''Selling Live Water'' is an attempt at sizing up the world as I see it in a more complete manner than making vague self-absorbed rants like my last record, ''Bottle of Humans''." Michael W. Eagle II (born November 14, 1980), better known by his stage name Open Mike Eagle, is an American hip hop artist and comedian. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is a member of the hip hop collective Project Blowed. He has also been a member of Thirsty Fish, Swim Team, and Cavanaugh. Early life Mike grew up in Chicago's Robert Taylor Homes and lived with his grandparents until he was 13 at which point he moved in with his mother. Mike also has a younger brother and sister. He attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and went on to Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he majored in psychology. James Brandon Best, better known by his stage name Pedestrian, is a rapper and writer from Los Angeles. He is a co-founder of Anticon. He is also known as a preacher under the moniker Evangelist J.B. Best. History In 1998, Pedestian co-founded Anticon with other indie hip hop artists. He came up with the name; it means "anti conformity" originally, but also means "ant icon." He has written several articles about hip hop for ''East Bay Express'' from 2003 to 2004.
