Perfect Day (1929 Film)
''Perfect Day'' is a 1929 short comedy film starring Laurel and Hardy. Plot Two families embark on a pleasant Sunday picnic in their Ford Model T, but manage to run into a variety of issues with the temperamental automobile. Each incident requires repeated exits and reboardings by Laurel, Hardy, their wives and grouchy, gout-ridden Uncle Edgar, and repetitions of the word ‘goodbye’. This segment may have been inspired by UK comedian Harry Tate and his famous 1907 ‘Motoring’ sketch, a vaudeville staple well-known on both sides of the Atlantic. A brick-throwing argument with a neighbor threatens to escalate into an all-out turf war until the local parson gets involved. The families manage to finally get their day underway, only to plunge neck-deep into a seemingly shallow, water-filled pothole. Cast Production notes ''Perfect Day'' was written in May 1929 and filmed between June 1–8, 1929. The original 1929 release of ''Perfect Day'' contained no music other than tha ...

"Perfect Day" is the fifth and final single released from Cascada's second album '' Perfect Day''. "Perfect Day" was released in the United States as a CD Maxi Single on 3 March 2009 and on 17 February 2009 on iTunes. It was also released as a download in certain European countries on 13 February 2010, almost a year after the United States release. Background and writing After the release of Cascada's 2008 Summer hit "Because the Night", it was rumored "Perfect Day" would be the next single released, but no confirmation was made. Natalie Horler had performed the song at Clubland Live 2008, but did not mention that the song would be released as a single. Again, on the ''Perfect Day Tour'', Horler did not mention anything about "Perfect Day" being the next single, and did not perform any songs from the up-coming untitled album. Fans suggested it was just a rumor, as the next album was soon to be released, but the song was released as the third North American single following "Wha ...

It was the band's first album with drummer Ryan Vandeberghe, replacing Derek Grant who had left the group before the release of 1998's 'Battle Hymns'. The album's musical direction shifted away from the ska punk and hardcore styles of their previous albums and exhibited heavy pop influence, leading many to classify the album as pop punk, though elements of ska and hardcore did appear during the back half of the album. A music video was filmed for the single "Sometimes I Don't Mind", which reached #22 on '' Billboards Modern Rock charts. The album itself ranked at #188 on the Billboard 200. Skin (British Band)
Skin were a British hard rock band active during the 1990s who reformed in 2009, only to disband again in 2013. History Skin were formed in the early 1990s by ex- Jagged Edge members Myke Gray (born 12 May 1968, Fulham, London) and Andy Robbins (also formerly of Tokyo Blade) along with former Kooga vocalist Neville MacDonald (born in Ynysybwl, Pontypridd, Wales) and drummer Dicki Fliszar, formerly of Bruce Dickinson's touring band and band Vamp. Originally called Taste, they went through a number of names (Obsession, Bad For Good, Phoenix) as they played a smattering of small club dates throughout 1992. The band showed enough quality on these dates to be offered a management deal with Sanctuary Management, who also handled Iron Maiden and, ultimately, a record deal with Parlophone. Through Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson, the band came to the attention of the American record producer Keith Olsen who offered to produce their debut at his 'Goodnight LA' Studio. During 1993 ...

Joyride (Roxette Album)
''Joyride'' is the third studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 28 March 1991 by EMI as the follow-up to their international breakthrough '' Look Sharp!'' (1988), as well as the non-album single "It Must Have Been Love", from the soundtrack to '' Pretty Woman'' (1990). The album was recorded over an 11-month period in Sweden. The duo experienced considerable pressure from their record label to deliver a successful follow-up album, and resisted pressure to relocate to Los Angeles and work with experienced American producers. The album was a critical and commercial success upon release, with a retrospective review for AllMusic calling it "the work of two pop artists at the top of their game." ''Joyride'' topped the charts in seven European countries, and was certified multi-platinum in several territories. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time in Argentina, Austria and Germany. " Joyride", "Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)", "The Big L.", "S ...

Knnillssonn
''Knnillssonn'' is the fourteenth album by Harry Nilsson, released in July, 1977. ''Knnillssonn'' was Nilsson's final album for RCA Records and his personal favorite while recording it, as his voice had recovered from the damage done during the 1974 ''Pussy Cats'' sessions; his songs were more developed and his singing was in top form. RCA Records management agreed and had prepared to promote the record heavily as his comeback album after previous efforts were released with little notice and promotion and were mostly missed by the public. Shortly after the album was issued, Elvis Presley died suddenly, at age 42. Presley and Nilsson both recorded for RCA Records and the unexpected death of Elvis resulted in a complete overhaul of RCA's release schedules and promotion plans. Demand for Presley's recordings was so high, stores could not keep them in stock. Money and resources allotted to ''Knnillssonn'' and other new RCA releases was all redirected to promoting Presley's recently is ...
