''A New Disease Is Born'' is the third full-length studio album by the Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band, Nightrage. It was released by Lifeforce Records on 12 March 2007. The album features an entirely new lineup, excluding guitarist Marios Iliopoulos and bassist Henric Carlsson. ''A New Disease Is Born'' appears in the lyrics to the song "Drug" from the previous album '' Descent into Chaos'', which suggests a possible origin for the name of this album. Babis "Bob" Katsionis ( el, Μπάμπης Κατσιώνης; born February 17, 1977 in Athens, Greece) is the lead guitarist and keyboard player for the heavy metal/power metal bands Stray Gods,Warrior Path, Outloud, and Serious Black; until recently he was part of Firewind but as of 2020 he has since left due to personal reasons. He is considered to be Greece's most successful rock/metal keyboard player, being the only musician to ever win the same category "Best Keyboardist" in Greek Metal Hammer's Annual Readers' Polls for 5 years in a row (2006–2011). He is founder of Progressive Vision Group, a videoclip making company, which has produced more than 90 videos for rock and metal artists since 2002. Nightrage Albums
Nightrage is a Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band originally from Thessaloniki. They later re-located to Gothenburg, Sweden. History Formation and ''Sweet Vengeance'' (2000–2003) Nightrage was founded by Marios Iliopoulos and his close friend Gus G in June 2000. They made three demos from 2001 to 2002. Their debut album, '' Sweet Vengeance'', was released in 2003 and featured drummer Per Möller Jensen ( The Haunted), and bassist Brice Leclercq. They also managed to acquire the services of legendary vocalist Tomas Lindberg (ex At the Gates). ''Sweet Vengeance'' also featured guest clean vocals on a few tracks by Tom S. Olof Mörck
Olof Mörck (born 12 December 1981) is a Swedish musician who is the guitarist and one of the songwriters of the metal band Amaranthe, as well as guitarist of the power metal band Dragonland. He was also a member of Nightrage between 2006 and 2011 as a guitarist. Notably, he has provided two guitar solos for the 2009 album '' The Isolation Game'' by the Italian melodic death metal band Disarmonia Mundi. In 2010, My Darling Dismay released a video of a song with the same title. The song is more of a rock style than his previous metal projects. Mörck appears on the 2010 album ''The History of Saints'' by the North Carolina band Vanisher, performing the solo for the song "Oceans." Dead by April is a Swedish metalcore band from Gothenburg, formed in February 2007 by Pontus Hjelm and Jimmie Strimell.
