''A Momentary Lapse of Reason'' is the thirteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released in the UK on 7 September 1987 by EMI and the following day in the US on Columbia. It was recorded primarily on guitarist David Gilmour's converted houseboat, '' Astoria''. ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason'' was the first Pink Floyd album recorded without founding member Roger Waters, who departed in 1985. The production was marred by legal fights over the rights to the Pink Floyd name, which were not resolved until several months after release. It also saw the return of keyboardist and founding member Richard Wright, who was fired from the band by Waters during the recording of ''The Wall'' (1979). Unlike most earlier Pink Floyd records, ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason'' is not a concept album. Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. Roger Waters
George Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943) is an English musician, singer-songwriter and composer. In 1965, he co-founded the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. Waters initially served as the bassist, but following the departure of singer-songwriter Syd Barrett in 1968, he also became their lyricist, co-lead vocalist and conceptual leader until his departure in 1983. ''Profiles'' is Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason's second studio album and 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn's debut studio album. It was released on 29 July 1985 by Harvest Records. The album (along with ''Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports'' and the soundtrack to the film ''White of the Eye'') was remastered and reissued on 31 August 2018 as part of the box set ''Unattended Luggage''. Nick Mason
Nicholas Berkeley Mason, (born 27 January 1944) is an English drummer and a founder member of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd. He is the only member to feature on every Pink Floyd album, and the only constant member since its formation in 1965. He co-wrote Pink Floyd compositions such as " Echoes", "Time", " Careful with That Axe, Eugene", and " One of These Days". In 2018, he formed a new band, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, to perform music from Pink Floyd's early years. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of Pink Floyd. Early life Mason was born on 27 January 1944 in Birmingham to Ailsa Sarah (née Kershaw) and Bill Mason, a documentary filmmaker; Nick's paternal great-grandfather was Rowland Hill Berkeley, who was Lord Mayor of Birmingham in 1904–1905. ''In the Studio with Redbeard'' is a North American radio program, produced and hosted by Dallas, Texas, based rock and roll disc jockey Doug "Redbeard" Hill. The show is a weekly hour-long "rockumentary" interview with music program which looks at the making of many of the greatest albums recorded in rock and roll history, although sometimes it would spotlight the history of rock and roll bands. Redbeard interviews the musicians who created these albums.
