Damiano Damiani (23 July 1922 – 7 March 2013) was an Italian screenwriter, film director, actor and writer. Poet and director Pier Paolo Pasolini referred to him as "a bitter moralist hungry for old purity", while film critic Paolo Mereghetti said that his style made him "the most American of Italian directors". In 1946 Damiano Damiani became part of the so-called Group of Venice with Fernando Carcupino, Hugo Pratt and Dino Battaglia. Nazzareno Zamperla (25 April 1937 – 19 March 2020) was an Italian actor and stuntman. Career Born in Treviso into a circus family, Zamperla came to Rome in 1949 and worked primarily in the 1950s and 1960s as a stunt performer. His focus was on the sword and sandal films. In the 1960s and 1970s, he transitioned into appearances as an actor in front of the camera, and his focus shifted to Spaghetti Western productions, where he was also known under the name of Nick Anderson, while also continuing working behind the camera as a gun master. Ettore Manni (6 May 1927 – 27 July 1979) was an Italian film actor. He appeared in more than 100 films between 1952 and 1979. Life and career Born in Rome, Manni debuted as an actor in 1952, when in spite of his acting inexperience he was chosen by Luigi Comencini for the main role in '' La tratta delle bianche''. Following the success of the film Manni interrupted his university studies and started appearing in a significant number of films of any genre, becoming in a short time one of the most popular actors in the Italian cinema. As his fame declined in the 1960s, Manni appeared mainly in Spaghetti Western and peplum films, but he also took part to several international productions, including films by Delmer Daves and Tony Richardson. Eleonora Giorgi (born 21 October 1953) is an Italian actress. Biography Giorgi was born in Rome. Her father was of Italian and English origin. Her mother was of Italian and Hungarian origin. She made her film debut in a minor role in Paolo Cavara's horror film ''Black Belly of the Tarantula'' (1970) and subsequently appeared in nearly fifty films, mostly in prominent roles. Franco Mannino
Franco Mannino (25 April 1924 – 1 February 2005) was an Italian film composer, pianist, opera director, playwright and novelist, born in Palermo. He made his debut as pianist at the age of 16. He conducted the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Canada between 1982 and 1986, among the others. In all he wrote more than 440 compositions including opera, ballet, oratorios, symphonies, chamber music and music for the theatre. In addition there was his music for more than a hundred films by some of the best-known directors of his day, including Luchino Visconti with whom he collaborated many times, including such films as ''Death in Venice''. His 1963 opera ''Il diavolo in giardino'', from a libretto by Visconti (and collaborators) based on a Thomas Mann short story, was presented at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo in February. Michele Placido (; born 19 May 1946) is an Italian actor, film director, and screenwriter. He began his career on stage, and first gained mainstream attention through a series of roles in films directed by the likes of Mario Monicelli and Marco Bellocchio, winning the Berlinale's Silver Bear for Best Actor for his performance in the 1979 film ''Ernesto''. He is known internationally for portraying police inspector Corrado Cattani on the crime drama television series '' La piovra'' (1984–2001).
