''A Man of Principle'' ( es, Cóndores no entierran todos los días) is a 1984 Colombian drama film directed by Francisco Norden. It is an adaptation of the 1971 novel of the same name written by Gustavo Álvarez Gardeazábal. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival. Francisco Norden (born 9 November 1929) is a Colombian film director, screenwriter, film editor, editor and film producer, producer born in Brussels from an Austrian father and a Colombian mother. He has directed eight films between 1963 and 2005. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are figures in the Christian scriptures, first appearing in the Book of Revelation, a piece of apocalypse literature written by John of Patmos. Gustavo Álvarez Gardeazábal (born 31 October 1945) is a Colombian writer, and politician. He attended the University of Valle and was the runner-up for a Premio Nadal in 1971 for ''Dabeiba''.
