''A Long Haul'' is a 2010, documentary film about Montauk, NY charter boat captain Bart Ritchie and his struggles with the effects of a declining economy and governmental regulations on the fishing industry. The film was produced and directed by Nathaniel Kramer, who, in addition to being a filmmaker, is a photographer and recreational fisherman. Nathaniel Kramer
Nathaniel Kramer (born 1961) is a film director, director of photography and cinematographer, as well as a fashion photographer, film producer, and documentary film director. Biography Work Kramer's photography has appeared in catalogs and advertisements for Gap, Reebok, Hanes, Ray Ban, J Crew, Talbots, Macy's, and Cover Girl. As well as in magazines such as '' GQ'', '' Glamour'', ''Lei'', ''Vogue'', '' Mademoiselle'', ''Elle'', '' Marie Claire'', and '' New York'', and has recently been shown in New York exhibitions. Montauk ( ) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, on the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP's population was 4,318. The CDP encompasses an area that stretches approximately from Napeague, New York, to the easternmost tip of New York State at Montauk Point Light. The hamlet encompasses a small area about halfway between the two points.
