A Horse Called Bear
''A Horse Called Bear'' is a 2015 American family drama film about recently orphaned boy who inherits a horse. It was produced by Penny Carlisi and directed by Daniel Knudsen. The film was awarded the Dove seal of family approval from the Dove Foundation and was released May 26, 2015. Plot ''A Horse Called Bear'' tells the story of Ethan who inherits his mother's horse after she dies unexpectedly in a car accident. Being a city kid he has no desire to own a horse and tells the lawyer managing his mother's estate to sell it. The horse was purchased by one of the ranch hands to use as a training horse for young riders. Ethan then moves across the country to live with his grandparents. While living with them he learns that the horse is still kept nearby at his uncle's horse ranch. He is hired by his uncle and begins to work at the ranch with his mom's horse "Bear." Daniel Knudsen
Daniel Knudsen () is an American film director, actor and film producer. He is also a co-founder of Crystal Creek Media. Biography Daniel Knudsen was born in Dearborn, Michigan. His father is a commercial airline pilot and his mother was a former saleswomen for Michigan Bell. In 2005 he began his involvement with movies and later went on to study digital media production in college. He graduated from Thomas Edison State University in 2009 and has worked in the film industry ever since. Career Kundsen began his career working as an intern on films while he was still in highschool. The first feature he directed was the thriller '' Creed of Gold''. The film was nominated for an Adam Award for best feature drama at the Sabaoth International Film Festival in Milan, Italy and won a Redemptive Storyteller Award at the Redemptive Film Festival. Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival (TSICFF) is an annual Christian film industry film festival held in South Africa. The festival is funded by Humble Pie Entertainment. In 2010, the festival's inaugural year, the award ceremony took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. Howell is the largest city and county seat of Livingston County, Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 9,489.
