''A Girl Sets Out'' (Hungarian: ''Egy lány elindul'') is a 1937 Hungarian comedy film directed by Steve Sekely and starring Éva Szörényi, Antal Páger and Gyula Csortos. It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director Márton Vincze. Steve Sekely
Steve Sekely (February 25, 1899– March 9, 1979) was a Hungarian film director. Born István Székely, he was known by several names, based on his changing professional and immigration status, including Stefan Szekely. He directed films in Hungarian, German, and English. Biography He worked as a newspaper journalist in Germany, before returning to Hungary in the early 1930s. He directed one of the most famous classic Hungarian films, the frequently revived comedy ''Hyppolit, a lakáj'' (1931). That film was remade in 2000 and the original was later digitally restored and released on DVD. Sekely left pre-war Hungary, fleeing growing fascism and laws restricting rights and professional opportunities for Jews. Gyula Justh (13 January 1850 – 9 October 1917) was a Hungarian jurist and politician, who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives between 1905 and 1909. Biography He was born in Necpál, Turóc County (today: ''Necpaly, Slovakia'') as a child of István Justh and Margit Pákozdy. After finishing law studies he became Chief Constable of Gyula District however the governing Liberal Party overthrew him because of his thoughts of independence against Austro-Hungarian Compromise. After that he returned to his estate in Tornya (today ''Turnu, Romania''). Later he farmed in his property in Csanád County. He was elected Member of Parliament for Makó in 1884. He held this position until his death. He often spoke out for civic democratic reforms. Valéria Hidvéghy or Valerie Pascal Delacorte (14 June 1914 – 14 July 2011) was a Hungarian actress. Life Delacorte was born in Budapest and broke through the iron curtain to marry the film producer Gabriel Pascal. She is best known today for her 1970 memoir of him, ''The Disciple and His Devil: Gabriel Pascal and Bernard Shaw''. In a letter to the editor of the New York Times in 1995 she wrote that the character of Eliza in the guise of a Magyar princess in "My Fair Lady" was due to her first husband. After Pascal's death she married George T. Delacorte, Jr. in 1959 and together with him became a philanthropist as well as safeguarding Pascal's correspondence and legacy.
