Václav Binovec
Václav Binovec (12 September 1892 – 29 February 1976, in Prague) was a Czech film director, screenwriter, and occasional actor. He was often referred to under the pseudonyms of Willy Bronx or W. Bronx, and also V. Vabin. Binovec set up the film company Wetebfilm in 1918, and began a career as a film director, launching the careers of actors such as Suzanne Marwille, Alois Sedláček and Jan W. Speerger. Among his notable earlier films are '' Krasavice Káťa'' (1919), '' For the Freedom of the Nation'' (''Za svobodu národa'') and '' Plameny života'' (1920) and '' Sivooký démon'', ''Černí myslivci'' and '' Poslední radost'' (all 1921). Subdued by the economic crisis in Czechoslovakia, Binovec commenced film production in Berlin in 1924, where he also launched a film rental business from 1926 until 1931. Zita Kabátová
Zita Kabátová (27 April 191327 May 2012) was a Czech actress. Kabátová was born in Prague, where her father, Benno Kabát, an architect, also acted in plays and wrote pieces for puppet theatres. Her uncle, Josef Šváb-Malostranský, was a well-known Prague cabaret artist and film actor. During the Second World War she also played in the German films "''Glück unterwegs''" and "''Schicksal am Strom''". She wed athlete Jiří Zavřel, who represented Czechoslovakia at the Olympic Games. At the age of 44, she gave birth to their son Jiří ("George"), who now lives in the United States. Kabátová lived in an assisted-living facility in Motol from 2005 until her death in 2012. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living Czech film actress and the only one alive to have performed before World War II. Elektafilm a.s., formerly Elektafilm s.r.o. was a Czechoslovak film production and film distribution company that existed from 1923 to 1951. It produced and distributed silent film, silent and since 1930 sound films in Czech language, Czech, German language, German and French language, French languages. Jaroslav Marvan (11 December 1901 – 21 May 1974) was a Czech actor. He was born in Prague. He was married since the 1920s with Marie Marvanová and had a daughter (Alena Marvanová) with Alena Jančaříková. He passed his school-leaving exam in 1919 and became a member of the Central Office of posts. He was sent to Uzghorod on business matters (1920–1923).
