''Una ragazza piuttosto complicata'' (internationally released as ''A Complicated Girl'') is a List of Italian films of 1968, 1968 Cinema of Italy, Italian giallo film directed by Damiano Damiani. For her performance in this film and in ''Metti una sera a cena'', Florinda Bolkan was awarded with a Golden Plate at the 1968 Edition of David di Donatello. Plot A man plugs into a phone call between two lesbian lovers. Intrigued by the very special situation he decides to know one of the two girls and to become his lover. Problems arise when the other woman seeks to end their relationship. Damiano Damiani (23 July 1922 – 7 March 2013) was an Italian screenwriter, film director, actor and writer. Poet and director Pier Paolo Pasolini referred to him as "a bitter moralist hungry for old purity", while film critic Paolo Mereghetti said that his style made him "the most American of Italian directors". In 1946 Damiano Damiani became part of the so-called Group of Venice with Fernando Carcupino, Hugo Pratt and Dino Battaglia. Life and career Born in Pasiano di Pordenone, Friuli, Damiani studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, then made his début in 1947 with the documentary ''La banda d'Affari''. Luigi "Gigi" Proietti (2 November 1940 – 2 November 2020) was an Italian actor, voice actor, comedian, musician, singer and television presenter. Early life He was born in Rome to Romano Proietti, originally from Umbria, and Giovanna Ceci, a housewife. During his youth he was keen on singing and on playing guitar, piano, accordion and double bass in several Roman nightclubs. He enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the La Sapienza University, where he attended the mimicry courses of the University Theatre Centre held by Giancarlo Cobelli, who immediately noticed his talent as a musician and booked him for an avantgarde play. Maria Cuadra (born Madrid 26 December 1936) is a Spanish film, television and theater actress who has starred in productions including: Platero y yo, Ultimo Encuentro, Vuelve San Valentin, Marinai, donne e guai and I tromboni di Fradiavolo with Ugo Tognazzi and Raimondo Vianello, and La Cancion del Olvido.
