A Better Time
''A Better Time'' is the third studio album by Nigerian singer Davido. It was released on November 13, 2020, through Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), RCA Records and Sony Music. The album features guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Nas, Young Thug, Mayorkun, Chris Brown, Tiwa Savage, Mugeez, CKay, Lil Baby, Hit-Boy, Sho Madjozi, Bella Shmurda and Sauti Sol. Davido enlisted Hit-Boy, Napji, Fresh VDM, Peruzzi and Speroach Beatz to produce the album. Davido had not planned to release an album in 2020, since he had announced a North American tour in support of his 2019 album, ''A Good Time'' and did not think he would have time to record, with the tour scheduled to begin in the winter and end in spring 2020. However, in March 2020 he had to cancel the sold-out 26-show tour due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and as a result returned to the studio to record the tracks that became ''A Better Time''. David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992), popularly known by his stage name Davido, is an American-Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. His music blends traditional African elements with global mainstream pop. Davido is widely regarded as one of the most successful, biggest and most influential African artists of all time. #EndSARS is a decentralised social movement, and series of mass protests against police brutality in Nigeria. The slogan calls for the disbanding of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a notorious unit of the Nigerian Police with a long record of abuse on Nigerian citizens. The protest takes its name from the slogan started in 2017 as a Twitter campaign using the hashtag #EndSARS to demand the disbanding of the unit by the Nigerian government. Tobechukwu Victor Okolie (born 5 December 1989), known as Peruzzi, is a Nigerian singer. He began recording music after working with Rodney malice at the age of seven. Though his signing to Davido's DMW was being disputed at some point, Peruzzi is a front member of the 30 Billion Gang also known as 30BG, a record label consisting mostly of Davido's close associates such as Blacktycoon, Tunegee, B-Red etc. He was featured on 2Baba's single 'Amaka'. Career Peruzzi began his musical career with Golden Boy Records in 2016, before getting signed to Davido Music World in 2018. Peruzzi's 2018 single Majesty, off his Heartwork EP featured a video appearance by 2018 ''Big Brother Naija'' runner up Cee-c.
