Dronevil
''Dronevil'' is the eighth studio album by the Japanese experimental band Boris. It is a double album: the first LP, ''Drone'', showcases a more ambient sound, while the second LP, ''Evil'', showcases a heavy guitar-oriented doom metal sound. Though the two sides can be heard separately, the original intention is for both to be played simultaneously. The album was originally released on double vinyl with the artwork for this release done by Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))). 1,000 copies were pressed of this album, 200 of which were printed on grey vinyl with the other 800 copies pressed on black vinyl. The album was re-released through Inoxia Records in 2006 under the name ''Dronevil -Final-'' on (double) CD format, remastered by Jason Lescalleet. Its original release date was April 26, but this was pushed back. The album features vocals in every track sung by Wata. ''New Album'' is the fifteenth studio album by the Japanese experimental band Boris. The album was released in Japan on March 16, 2011, on CD through Tearbridge (an imprint of major label Avex) and on double LP through Daymare Recordings, and was released worldwide with a different mix and track list through Sargent House on November 25, 2011. The CD and LP feature different versions of several tracks. The label released the song "Party Boy" prior to the album, which also appears in an altered form on ''Attention Please is a manga by Chieko Hosokawa about the training of flight attendants for Japan Airlines originally serialized in ''Shōjo Friend'' from Kodansha beginning in 1970. ''Smile'' is the fourteenth full-length album by Japanese band Boris. It was released through Diwphalanx Records in early 2008 (late 2008 for the live version accordingly), featuring guest musicians Michio Kurihara of Ghost and Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))), both of whom have collaborated with Boris in the past. Shortly after this initial release, the album was released by American label Southern Lord with a slightly different track listing, different artwork (by Stephen O'Malley), and an almost entirely different sound. The first 3000 copies of this edition include a DVD containing videos for "Statement", "Pink" and "My Neighbor Satan". Notably, this release is the second Boris album to feature vocals on every track (the first, excluding any one-track albums, was ''Amplifier Worship''). ''Vein'' is the thirteenth album by Japanese experimental band Boris. The album was released on vinyl in October 2006 through Important Records and was limited to 1500 copies only. ''Vein'' became somewhat controversial for the long delays prior to the release but most importantly for presenting two different albums under the album's title. As the label in charge of the release explained, "Every aspect of this beautiful release was planned and designed by Boris and they have stated that it has very special meaning for them". In 2013, the band announced that the album would be released as a 2-CD set but that this was not a reissue of the album, but rather a re-arrangement of both albums combined. ''The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 3'' is the twelfth album by Japanese experimental band Boris. This is the third installment of the ''Thing Which Solomon Overlooked'' series and was released concurrently with the previous installment, ''The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 2''. Like other albums in this series, ''The Thing Which Solomon Overlooked 3'' is centered on drone music and retains the totally instrumental nature of the first volume. The release contains the song "No Ones Grieve Part 1" whose second part is found on the previous installment; other than the title, they appear to be unrelated. Compared to most of the band's discography, this series of albums contains primarily improvised music. The album was pressed on vinyl and only 1000 copies were made. 700 copies pressed in orange vinyl were distributed by the label Conspiracy Records who was in charge of the release while the remaining 300 copies pressed in light blue vinyl were sold exclusively on tour.
