AZ Records
''AZ'' is a French record label established in 2002 as an affiliate of Universal with a big list of artists signed or with distribution rights for their releases in France. Valéry Zeitoun The founder and first president of AZ record label, Valéry Zeitoun, was born in Pantin near Paris on 13 February 1966. He ran the label from its creation in 2002 until October 2011. The label also encourages many new artists. Valéry Zeitoun (already a judge in the French television reality series ''Popstars'' in its second season in 2002) famously ran a campaign in 2010 on Facebook entitled ''Je veux signer chez AZ'' (meaning I want to sign with AZ). Two candidates were selected to join the label, namely Victor Le Douarec and Mélissa Nkonda. The campaign was so popular, Zeitoun ran a second series of casting for talent in 2011 resulting in signing of a third new artist, namely Alias Hilsum. Catherine Lara (born Catherine Bodet; 29 May 1945) is a French violinist, composer, singer, and author. Over a career spanning more than five decades, she has established herself as an icon in French pop/rock music as well as the neo-classical genre. She has released 26 studio albums, contributed music to numerous television and film productions, and helped stage and produce many theatrical works. Lara is openly lesbian. Fally Ipupa N'simba (born December 14, 1977), known by his stage name Fally Ipupa, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and producer. From 1999 until 2006, he was a member of Quartier Latin International, the music band formed in 1986 by Koffi Olomidé. His first solo album was ''Droit Chemin'' released in 2006, which went on to sell over 100,000 units, and his second album ''Arsenal de Belles Melodies'' was released in 2009. Creature (band)
Creature is a Canadian pop rock band, formed in 2004 in Montreal. History The band formed in 2004 under the name "Pawel Czuraj" and released a debut album ''No Sleep At All'' on March 3, 2008. The following year, ''No Sleep At All'' became a nominee in the "Pop Album of The Year" category at the Juno Awards of 2009. Career I Blame Coco Sumner began writing songs at the age of 15, and signed a multi-record deal with Island Records at age 17.
