ASC De Volewijckers is a Dutch football club that plays in the Vierde Klasse. It is a continuation of ASV–DWV and AVV De Volewijckers. History ASV–DWV ASV-DWV or Door Wilskracht Verkregen was founded on 12 May 1912 in present-day Amsterdam-Noord. Its home ground was Sportpark Elzenhagen. ASV-DWV was promoted to first class, the highest amateur football level in the 1913–14 season. As a result of a flood disaster in 1916, the entire accommodation was destroyed. In 1921 the club started again but now in the third class of the Dutch soccer association (KNVB). In the years 1935, '36 and '37 the club promoted from the third class and second class to the first class again. In the season 1947–48 the club made it to the finals of the 'KNVB' cup, but lost after penalties to F.C. Wageningen It won the Arol Cup in the season 1959–60. KNVB Amateur Cup
The KNVB Amateur Cup ( nl, KNVB Beker voor amateurs) was the cup competition for amateur football clubs in the Netherlands. The winner qualified until 2016 for the amateur super cup match against the national Hoofdklasse champion. The cup was contested by the winners of the district cups ( nl, districtsbekers) in the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: West 1, West 2, South 1, South 2, East and North. The six teams faced each other in a knock-out competition, starting in the quarter-finals. Two clubs received a bye, but they had to play an away game in the semi-finals. The Vierde Klasse ( en, Fourth Class) is the ninth tier of football in the Netherlands and the seventh tier of Dutch amateur football. This is the lowest league in the West II region. The league is divided into 64 divisions, 32 played on Saturday and 32 on Sunday. Each division consists of 12 to 14 teams.
