Highway 114 (AR 114, Ark. 114, and Hwy. 114) is a state highway in the Lower Arkansas Delta. The route of runs from Highway 35 to US Highway 65 (US 65) in Gould. The route is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Route description The highway begins in Cleveland County south of Rison at Highway 35. The route runs east to Calmer, where it has a brief officially designated exception with US 63 before entering Lincoln County. In Lincoln County, Highway 114 has a junction with Highway 54 and Highway 530 before entering Star City. Highway 530 is a two-lane expressway planned as a future extension of Interstate 530 (I-530) south to a future I-69. The route enters Star City, intersecting Highway 11 Business (AR 11B) and forming a concurrency through the city. Toledo, Arkansas
Toledo is an unincorporated community in Cleveland County, Arkansas, United States. From 1873 to 1891, the community served as the county seat. During the town's heyday, there were several businesses and a school. In 1882 the railroad bypassed the community and the county seat moved to Rison. People moved away and the once-thriving town reverted to farmland. Interstate 69 (I-69) is a proposed Interstate Highway that will pass through the southeastern part of the US state of Arkansas. The only section of Future I-69 that is currently open to traffic is the eastern leg of the Monticello Bypass. This section of the Monticello Bypass is currently two lanes and signed as U.S. Highway 278 Bypass (US 278 Byp.). Planned extension I-69 has been divided into a number of sections of independent utility (SIUs). SIU 12 (Arkansas portion) I-69 will enter Arkansas on the planned Charles W. Highway 54 (AR 54, Ark. 54, and Hwy. 54) is a designation for two state highways in Southeast Arkansas. One route of begins at US 65/US 165 in Dumas and runs west to US 425/ Highway 11. A second route of begins at Highway 114 and runs west to County Road 18 at the Grant/Jefferson county line. Both routes are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT). Route description History Highway 54 was created on April 1, 1926 as one of the original state highways. The route ran east from US 65 in Dumas to State Road 1 entirely within in Desha County. It was extended west to Garrett Bridge in 1937, supplanting a Highway 140 designation. The route was extended west to Little Garnett in July 1957 and Star City in June 1960.
