The Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation (AOSEF), which is composed of 19 stock exchanges, originated in 1982 as an informal organization called the East Asian Stock Exchanges Conference (EASEC). It was first conceived as an organization to promote closer ties between the region’s exchanges and cooperation among them. New Zealand's Exchange (), known commonly as the NZX, is the national stock exchange for New Zealand and a publicly owned company. NZX is the parent company of Smartshares, and Wealth Technologies. The Stock Exchange of Thailand ( th, ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย), or SET, is the only stock exchange in Thailand. Founded on 30 April 1975, it is ASEAN’s 2nd largest after Singapore and the world's 25th by market capitalization at (both SET and mai) as of 22 October 2022. The Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TWSE; ) is a financial institution, located in Taipei 101, in Taipei, Taiwan. The TWSE was established in 1961 and began operating as a stock exchange on 9 February 1962. It is regulated by the Financial Supervisory Commission. As of 31 December 2013, the Taiwan Stock Exchange had 809 listed companies with a combined market capitalization of NT$ 24,519,622 million. The exchange broadcasts before-hour information from 7:40 to 8:40.
