Ashurst New Forest Railway Station
Ashurst (New Forest) railway station is in Ashurst, Hampshire, England, on the South West Main Line from to . It is down the line from Waterloo. History Opened as Lyndhurst Road on 1 June 1847 by the Southampton and Dorchester Railway, then absorbed by the London and South Western Railway, it became part of the Southern Railway during the grouping of 1923. The station was host to a Southern Railway camping coach from 1936 to 1939. The station then passed on to the Southern Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. A camping coach was positioned here by the Southern Region from 1954 to 1960, the coach was replaced in 1961 by a ''Pullman'' camping coach until 1965 which was joined by another ''Pullman'' for 1966 and 1967. The station was renamed Ashurst (New Forest) on 24 September 1995. When sectorisation was introduced in the 1980s, the station was served by Network SouthEast until the privatisation of British Railways. Services The station is some 200 to 30 ... Atrial Natriuretic Peptide
Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) or atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) is a natriuretic peptide hormone secreted from the cardiac atria that in humans is encoded by the NPPA gene. Natriuretic peptides (ANP, BNP, and CNP) are a family of hormone/paracrine factors that are structurally related. The main function of ANP is causing a reduction in expanded extracellular fluid (ECF) volume by increasing renal sodium excretion. ANP is synthesized and secreted by cardiac muscle cells in the walls of the atria in the heart. These cells contain volume receptors which respond to increased stretching of the atrial wall due to increased atrial blood volume. Reduction of blood volume by ANP can result in secondary effects such as reduction of extracellular fluid (ECF) volume, improved cardiac ejection fraction with resultant improved organ perfusion, decreased blood pressure, and increased serum potassium. These effects may be blunted or negated by various counter-regulatory mechanisms operati ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Array Network Facility
The Array Network Facility component of the EarthScope USArray project is charged with ensuring all the real time seismic data collected from the Transportable Array and Flexible Arrays are transmitted, checked for quality, archived, and accessible online for researchers and the general public. The facility is part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego. The principal investigator of the ANF is Dr. Frank Vernon. The facility has developed a series oonline toolsto allow researchers and the general public to interact with data collected from over four hundred broadband seismic stations across the United States. These four hundred stations make up the Transportable Array component of the EarthScope USArray project. Analysts review automated event detections and produce event bulletins including seismic phase picks which are distributed through the IRIS DMC. The ANF component of the USArray experiment is funded by the National Science Fou ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Anti-nuclear Antibody
Antinuclear antibodies (ANAs, also known as antinuclear factor or ANF) are autoantibodies that bind to contents of the cell nucleus. In normal individuals, the immune system produces antibodies to foreign proteins (antigens) but not to human proteins (autoantigens). In some cases, antibodies to human antigens are produced. There are many subtypes of ANAs such as anti-Ro antibodies, anti-La antibodies, anti-Sm antibodies, anti-nRNP antibodies, anti-Scl-70 antibodies, anti-dsDNA antibodies, anti-histone antibodies, antibodies to nuclear pore complexes, anti-centromere antibodies and anti-sp100 antibodies. Each of these antibody subtypes binds to different proteins or protein complexes within the nucleus. They are found in many disorders including autoimmunity, cancer and infection, with different prevalences of antibodies depending on the condition. This allows the use of ANAs in the diagnosis of some autoimmune disorders, including systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren synd ... A-normal Form
In computer science, A-normal form (abbreviated ANF) is an Intermediate language, intermediate representation of program (computer science), programs in functional compilers. In ANF, all argument (computer science), arguments to a function (computer science), function must be trivial (constants or variables). That is, evaluation of each argument must halt immediately. ANF is introduced by Sabry and Matthias Felleisen, Felleisen in 1992 as a simpler alternative to continuation-passing style (CPS). Some of the advantages of using CPS as an intermediate representation are that optimizations are easier to perform on programs in CPS than in the source language, and that it is also easier for compilers to generate machine code for programs in CPS. Flanagan et al. showed how compilers could use ANF to achieve those same benefits with one source-level transformation; in contrast, for realistic compilers the CPS transformation typically involves additional phases, for example, to simplif ... Algebraic Normal Form
In Boolean algebra, the algebraic normal form (ANF), ring sum normal form (RSNF or RNF), '' Zhegalkin normal form'', or '' Reed–Muller expansion'' is a way of writing logical formulas in one of three subforms: * The entire formula is purely true or false: *: 1 *: 0 * One or more variables are combined into a term by AND (\and), then one or more terms are combined by XOR (\oplus) together into ANF. Negations are not permitted: : a \oplus b \oplus \left(a \and b\right) \oplus \left(a \and b \and c\right) * The previous subform with a purely true term: : 1 \oplus a \oplus b \oplus \left(a \and b\right) \oplus \left(a \and b \and c\right) Formulas written in ANF are also known as Zhegalkin polynomials and Positive Polarity (or Parity) Reed–Muller expressions (PPRM). Common uses ANF is a normal form, which means that two equivalent formulas will convert to the same ANF, easily showing whether two formulas are equivalent for automated theorem proving. Agitated Nutsche Filter
Agitated Nutsche filter (ANF) is a filtration technique used in applications such as dye, paint, and pharmaceutical production and waste water treatment. Safety requirements and environmental concerns due to solvent evaporation led to the development of this type of filter wherein filtration under vacuum or pressure can be carried out in closed vessels and solids can be discharged straightaway into a dryer. Filter features A typical unit consists of a dished vessel with a perforated plate. The entire vessel can be kept at the desired temperature by using a limpet jacket, jacketed bottom dish and stirrer (blade and shaft) through which heat transfer media can flow. The vessel can be made completely leak-proof for vacuum or pressure service. Nutsche filter disc The filter disc is the bottom porous plate of the nutsche filter. The filter disc retains the solids and lets the liquid/ gas passing through. It is the main filtration component of the nutsche filter. Types of the fi ... ANF Les Mureaux
__NOTOC__ ANF Les Mureaux (full name: Les Ateliers de Construction du Nord de la France et des Mureaux) was a French aircraft manufacturer founded in Les Mureaux in 1918 as Les Ateliers des Mureaux building aircraft under license. Significant products included Vickers Vimys and Breguet 14s during the 1920s. Under head designer André Brunet, it also produced a few original parasol-winged monoplanes that eventually led to the firm's greatest success, the 113 military reconnaissance aircraft of 1931 and its derivatives. In 1928, it purchased French seaplane manufacturer Besson and in 1930 amalgamated with Ateliers de Construction du Nord de la France, a railway firm. In 1937, it was nationalized and made part of SNCAN SNCAN, (abbreviated from ''Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Nord''), or commonly, Nord, was a state-owned French aircraft manufacturer in the pre- and post- World War II era.
