AMD Alarus
The AMD Alarus CH2000 is a two-seat, fixed tricycle gear general aviation airplane, used primarily for flight training, that was designed by Chris Heintz. It is manufactured by Aircraft Manufacturing and Design Co. in Eastman, Georgia. It is a low-wing aircraft, with one door located above each wing, respectively. It can be considered a competitor to similar aircraft used for flight training, such as the Diamond DA20. The Alarus features Garmin avionics and a cabin. 70th Squadron (Iraq)
The 70th Squadron is one of the two reconnaissance squadrons of the Iraqi Air Force. As of 2016, it was based at Ali Air Base. The other reconnaissance unit is the 3rd Squadron based at Kirkuk Air Base. Pre-2003 era No. 70 Squadron was established in 1973. At the time of the October War, it was working up on MiG-21M/MFs at Rasheed Air Base. Additionally, in 1976 the squadron received four MiG-21R reconnaissance fighters. These were operated by a dedicated flight. During the period between their arrival and the beginning of the Iran-Iraq War, these aircraft flew reconnaissance missions near the border with Iran. These missions were intensified starting in April 1980, but were performed by single aircraft only, staying inside Iraqi airspace. Kirkuk Air Base
The Kirkuk International Airport is an airport located Kirkuk, Iraq. The airport officially opened in 20th October, 2022 for civil visitors. Since 2003 the airport was used by the U.S. Air Force as a military airport. It was returned to the Iraqi Army in November 2011. In 2012, the Iraqi Transportation Ministry decided to move the military section to another location, a prerequisite for turning the air base into a civilian airport.
