AMC Pankration
AMC Pankration (also known as AMC Kickboxing & Pankration) is a mixed martial arts gym based in Kirkland, Washington. It is best known for producing UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson as well as other high level fighters. Overview Matt Hume started a Pankration club in 1988 while attending Central Washington University. That eventually became the basis for AMC Pankration which was officially named and formed in 1991. AMC Pankration have also hosted MMA events in the past. From 1999 to 2008 it has held 9 events with 39 matches. Matt Hume
Matt Hume (born July 14, 1966) is an American mixed martial arts trainer and businessman. He is the founder and head trainer at AMC Pankration in Kirkland, WA, home to former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and ONE bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes. Hume has trained numerous world class fighters including Josh Barnett, Tim Boetsch, Bob Sapp, Chris Leben, Hayato Sakurai, Akira Shoji, Matt Brown, Rich Franklin, Mario Miranda and Caros Fodor. Oregon State Beavers Jeffrey William Monson (born January 18, 1971) is an American-Russian mixed martial artist, boxer, and submission grappler who competes primarily in the Heavyweight division. Christian Cyrus Leben (born July 21, 1980) is an American former mixed martial artist, referee, and bare knuckle boxer. A professional MMA competitor from 2002 until 2013, he most notably competed in the UFC in the Middleweight division, compiling a record of 12–10 in 22 appearances for the organization. Jens Johnnie Pulver (born December 6, 1974) is an American retired professional mixed martial artist and undefeated boxer and kickboxer. Pulver was the inaugural UFC Lightweight Champion in addition to serving as the head coach on ''The Ultimate Fighter 5'' reality show against long-time rival B.J. Penn.
