AMA EnduroCross Championship
The AMA EnduroCross Championship is an endurocross championship held in North America since 2007. It is held in stadiums or arenas, recreating enduro obstacles such as rocks, boulders and logs. Motorsport promoters Eric Peronnard and Tim Clark organized the first EnduroCross event at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas in 2004, with a similar format to the Barcelona Indoor Enduro. In 2007, EnduroCross turned into a three-round championship with AMA sanctioning. Since 2008, at least six rounds have been held each year. In 2011 and 2012, the X Games Los Angeles was a points-scoring round of the AMA EnduroCross. Las Vegas has hosted the final round from 2007 to 2013, and the first round from 2008 to 2010 and since 2012. Cities that have hosted the AMA EnduroCross include Denver, Everett, Boise and Ontario. Kawasaki Motorcycles
Kawasaki motorcycles are manufactured by the Motorcycle & Engine division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. History Kawasaki Aircraft initially manufactured motorcycles under the Meguro name, having bought an ailing motorcycle manufacturer, Meguro Manufacturing with whom they had been in partnership. This eventually became Kawasaki Motor Sales. Some early motorcycles display an emblem with "Kawasaki Aircraft" on the fuel tank. During 1962, Kawasaki engineers were developing a four-stroke engine for small cars. John Dowd (motocross)
John Dowd, also known as "The Junk yard Dog", (born August 10, 1965) is an American former professional motocross racer. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1987 to 2013. Motocross racing career Originally from Chicopee, Massachusetts, Dowd entered his first motocross (MX) race at age 20, considered old for prospective professional motocross riders. Dowd progressed quickly in the sport and was soon beating riders with many years more experience of motocross than himself and was able to turn professional by age 21. With his relatively late start, Dowd has achieved the best results of his career later in life, which is unusual compared to his typical competitors. David Knight (motorcyclist)
David "Knighter" Knight, (born 31 May 1978), is a three-time world champion enduro rider from the Isle of Man. But holds 5 World Titles altogether. After competing in the Enduro FIM Junior Cup, Knight debuted in the World Enduro Championship riding for Yamaha. He finished runner-up in the 250 cc class to Juha Salminen in 2001 and to Samuli Aro in 2002. In 2003, he moved to the biggest 500 cc class and placed fourth. For the 2004 season, Knight moved to the KTM team and finished second to his teammate Aro in the Enduro 3 class. In 2005, continuing in the E3 class, he took his first world title and also won the International Six Days Enduro outright. In 2006, he posted a "perfect" season, winning all 14 rounds of the E3 WEC season, also winning almost every special test at each event. Cody Webb
Cody Webb (born May 31, 1988), is an American professional motorcycle trials rider and endurocross racer. Webb was the 2010 United States NATC Motorcycle Trials Champion. Webb has also competed in EnduroX. At the X Games he has claimed silver medals in Foz do Iguaçu 2013 and Los Angeles 2012 and 2014, as well as bronze medals in Los Angeles 2013 and Barcelona 2013. Also, he has won the 2014, 2015 and 2017 AMA EnduroCross Championship. Mike Brown (motorcyclist)
Mike Brown (born May 1, 1972) is an American former professional motocross racer and Endurocross racer. He was the 2001 AMA 125cc motocross national champion. __TOC__ Motorcycle racing career Brown won his first professional race in 1994.
