AL-Automotive Lighting
Automotive Lighting (AL) is an automotive lighting company that is based in Germany. It was founded in 1999 as a 50-50 joint venture between the Italian firm Magneti Marelli and the German firm Robert Bosch GmbH (K2 Lighting division). In 2001, Magneti Marelli raised its share to 75% after the acquisition of Seima Group. In 2003, Automotive Lighting become fully owned by Magneti Marelli. Reutlingen (; Swabian: ''Reitlenga'') is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is the capital of the eponymous district of Reutlingen. As of June 2018, it has a population of 115,818. A joint venture (JV) is a business entity created by two or more parties, generally characterized by shared ownership, shared returns and risks, and shared governance. LED Lights
An LED lamp or LED light bulb is an electric light that produces light using light-emitting diodes (LEDs). LED lamps are significantly more energy-efficient than equivalent incandescent lamps and can be significantly more efficient than most fluorescent lamps. The most efficient commercially available LED lamps have efficiencies of 200 lumen per watt (Lm/W). Commercial LED lamps have a lifespan many times longer than incandescent lamps. LED lamps require an electronic LED driver circuit to operate from mains power lines, and losses from this circuit means that the efficiency of the lamp is lower than the efficiency of the LED chips it uses. The driver circuit may require special features to be compatible with lamp dimmers intended for use on incandescent lamps.
