Goran Raičević
Goran Raičević (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Раичевић, June 26, 1963 – May 6, 1999) was a Serbian long-distance runner. He won three Balkan Cross Country Championships for Yugoslavia in 1990, 1992, and 1994. His son Nikola Raičević took up athletics and trains with AK Partizan. Running career Raičević won his first Balkan Cross Country Championships in 1990. In the same year he ran the senior men's race at the 1990 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, finishing in 119th place out of 236 finishers. Raičević would also represent FR Yugoslavia at IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 1994 and 1996, recording strong finishing places and results in both years. On April 20, 1996, he ran the Belgrade Half Marathon in 1:02:39, although the course was short according to the Association of Road Racing Statisticians. Miloš Raović
Miloš Raović (born 12 May 1994) is a Serbian sprinter who specializes in the 400 meters. He participated for Serbia at the 2014 European Athletics Championships. Running career Raović established himself as an international level sprinter after training with AK Partizan. Originally Raović started out as a hurdler but made a transition to sprinting. He made his international debut at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics in the boy's 400 meters, where he ran under the 50 second barrier. He then appeared at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, where he also ran the 400. His last major international race as a junior was the 400 at the 2013 European Athletics Junior Championships. Goran Nava (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Нава, born 15 April 1981) is a Serbian-Italian middle distance runner who competed for Serbia in track and field. Born in Castello di Brianza in Italy, he attended Radford University in Virginia, United States. He is a graduate student at the London School of Business (LSB). Nava competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and was also named "Most Successful Athlete of the Year" by the Serbian Athletic Federation in 2009. Emir Bekrić
Emir Bekrić ( sr-cyr, Емир Бекрић, born 14 March 1991) is a former Serbian hurdler who specialises and holds the Serbian national record for the 400 metres hurdles. He is coached by Mirjana Stojanović. In 2013, Bekrić became the first male track and field athlete from Serbia to win a medal at the IAAF Outdoor World Championships. In the same year he won the award European athletics rising star, as well as golden badge for Serbian athlete of the year. Kosovo War
The Kosovo War was an armed conflict in Kosovo that started 28 February 1998 and lasted until 11 June 1999. It was fought by the forces of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (i.e. Serbia and Montenegro), which controlled Kosovo before the war, and the Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Albanian rebel group known as the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
