The AIR Awards of 2012 (or Jägermeister Independent Awards of 2012) is the seventh annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards (generally known as the AIR Awards) and was an award ceremony at Revolt Art Space, in Melbourne, Australia on 16 October 2012. The event was sponsored by German liquor brand, Jägermeister for the final time. This year was the first for the category, ''Best Independent Label'', was taken by Sydney hip hop label Elefant Traks, who in the past year have released albums from The Herd, Urthboy, Hermitude, Sietta, The Last Kinection and Sky High. ''Falling & Flying'' is the second studio album by Australian hip hop artist 360. The album was released on 30 September 2011 on Soulmate Records. Writing and development For 360's second studio album, he worked with producers such as M-Phazes, the 2010 winner for 'Best Hip Hop Release', and Styalz Feugo. In an interview with 'All Aussie Hip Hop', he stated: "I think when I write personal and honest music that's when I shine, and that's the angle I've taken with this new album. It's all real." He also referenced the title track, stating that he loved the lyric "even when I'm falling I'm flying", and thought it effectively summed up his outlook on life. Lanie Lane
Lanie Lane (born 11 February 1987) is the stage name of Lanier Stefanie Myra Johnston, an Australian blues-jazz singer-songwriter and guitarist. Lane released two studio albums between 2011 and 2014. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2012, Lane was nominated for five awards. In February 2015, Lane announced she was "quitting" the music industry. Lane used a 1957 guitar named Betty, a 1966 electric Gibson named BoDidd (after Bo Diddley) and an unnamed 1960 archtop guitar. The album track, "Betty Baby", is dedicated to the guitar. Husky are an indie folk band from Melbourne, Australia. They have opened for Neil Young, Devendra Banhart, Gotye, The Shins. "Awkward" is a song recorded by Australian indie pop band San Cisco and released in September 2011 as the lead single from their second extended play of the same name (2012). San Cisco
San Cisco is an Australian indie pop band that formed in 2009 under the original name of King George, in Fremantle, Western Australia. The band are a Trio (music), three-piece, and currently consists of Jordi Davieson (guitar, lead vocals), Josh Biondillo (guitar, vocals) and Scarlett Stevens (drums, vocals). Oh Mercy were an Australian indie rock band formed by Alexander Gow.
