AFK Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč
AFK Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč was a Czech football club from the town of Lázně Bohdaneč, which played one season in the Czech First League. It was founded in 1918. Bohdaneč won promotion to the country's top flight, the Czech First League, after finishing second in the 1996–97 Czech 2. Liga. The club subsequently featured in the 1997–98 Czech First League, finishing bottom of the league and winning only two of their thirty matches. During a 1999 Czech 2. Liga away match against Prostějov, club owner Jiří Novák ordered his players to walk off the pitch, with 43 minutes played and the score 2–1 to the hosts, citing the poor performance of referee Michal Paták as the reason. According to a spokesman from the ČMFS, this was the first time a professional team had abandoned a game in the league. Czech Fourth Division
The Czech Fourth Division ( cs, Divize) is the fourth tier of football in the Czech Republic. The level consists of six divisions, named Divize A-F, Divize A-C each holding 16 teams and Divize D-F each holding 14 teams. The top teams from Divize A, B and C are promoted to the Bohemian Football League while the top teams from Divize D, E and F are promoted to the Moravian–Silesian Football League. The number of relegated teams varies between the divisions, the destination of the relegated teams is one of the 14 Regional Divisions at level 5 of the pyramid. The format of the three Bohemian divisions (A, B and C) is unconventional in that it does not allow draws. Pardubice District
Pardubice District ( cs, okres Pardubice) is a district (''okres'') within the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the city of Pardubice. Overview Pardubice District is the smallest district of the region but has the highest population density. Its terrain is mostly flat, dominated by Kunětice Mountain. Football is the most popular sport in the Czech Republic. History Bohemia was an early adopter of football. In the Czech Republic, football originated in Bohemia between 1890 and 1900, mainly played by Germans (the country was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire). The best German club was called Regatta Prag. The first known football match in the Czech Republic occurred on the islet located in the Labe River in Roudnice nad Labem in 1887. In 1896 the first derby between SK Slavia Prague and AC Sparta Prague was disputed with the result of 0-1. Bohemian Football League
Bohemian Football League (ČFL) ( cs, Česká fotbalová liga) is one of the third level football leagues of the Czech Republic (the other is the Moravian-Silesian Football League). The league comprises teams from the historic Bohemia region. History The league was formed in 1991 during the Czechoslovakia era, replacing the former ''II. ČNL'' (II. Česká národni liga; Second Czech National League) at the third tier of Czechoslovak football alongside sister league MSFL. Competition format The winner of ČFL is promoted to Czech National Football League.
