AFC Săgeata Năvodari
Săgeata Năvodari was a Romanian professional football club from Năvodari, Constanța County, Romania, founded in 2010 and dissolved in 2015. History At the end of July 2010 the investors of AS Săgeata Stejaru decided to leave Stejaru and founded a new club in Năvodari, named ''AFC Săgeata Năvodari''. Thus continuing the football tradition in Năvodari after the dissolution of CS Năvodari, former ''Midia Năvodari''. Săgeata finished 2nd in the series the first half of the 2010–11 Liga II season, and was in the battle for the promotion with Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and Concordia Chiajna. By the end of the season Săgeata targeted the first two places but failed to reach them and finished the championship 3rd. But all was not lost, because FRF decided that a play-off round will be played between Voința Sibiu and Săgeata Năvodari for the last vacant place in the 2011–12 Liga I. Aurel Șunda
Aurel Șunda (born 14 October 1957) is a Romanian former footballer and manager. As a footballer, Șunda played mainly as a defender for Politehnica Timișoara, club for which he played in more than 200 matches. In fact, as a player, Șunda never left Timișoara, also playing for other local teams such as CFR Timișoara, Progresul Timișoara or UM Timișoara. He retired in 1991 and started a career as a football manager at his last club where he played, UM Timișoara. In the 1990s Șunda remained in Banat as a manager and/ or assistant coach of Politehnica Timișoara, CSM Reșița or UM Timișoara. Former UMT player promoted the team in the top-flight, in 2000, for the first time in the history of "the zebras". In the 2000s Șunda was a globetrotter, managing 12 clubs, but with very good results at Unirea Alba Iulia and CFR Cluj, periods in which he received his nickname "the Professor". Stadionul Farul
Stadionul Farul is a multi-purpose stadium in Constanța, Romania. It was used mostly for football matches and until 2022 was the home ground of Farul Constanța. The stadium had also functions as an athletics arena, with track and field athletics facilities. The stadium was closed in 2022 and is proposed for demolition, also a new stadium is in plan to be built, on the same site. In 1970, Stadionul Farul was the first stadium in Romania to host a floodlit football match. The stadium has played host to the Romania national football team, in the World Cup 2006 Qualification, UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying and 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification. The stadium is currently in bad condition. Many of the seats in the stands are missing or are damaged. In general, the stadium is in need of renovation. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. CS Otopeni
CS Otopeni was a Romanian professional football club from Otopeni, Ilfov County, founded in 2001 and dissolved in 2013. Its greatest performance was that it played for one season in the Liga I in the 2008–09 season. History The club was founded in 2001 at the initiative of the mayor of the locality, Silviu Constantin Gheorghe. In the first season, 2001–02, in the Ilfov County Championship, missed the direct promotion in front of Sportul Ciorogârla, but managing to reach the Liga III after he bought the place from Conired Pucioasa and it soon made way from the Liga III to the Liga I.
