At the end of each AFC Asian Cup final tournament, several awards are presented to the players and teams which have distinguished themselves in various aspects of the match. Awards There are currently five post-tournament awards * the Most Valuable Player for best player; * the Top Goalscorer for most prolific goal scorer; * the Best Goalkeeper for most outstanding goalkeeper; * the Team of the Tournament for best combined team of players at the tournament; * the Fair Play Award for the team with the best record of fair play. AFC Asian Cup
The AFC Asian Cup is the primary association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), determining the continental champion of Asia. It is the second oldest continental football championship in the world after Copa América. The winning team becomes the champion of Asia and until 2015 qualified for the FIFA Confederations Cup. The Asian Cup was held once every four years from the 1956 edition in Hong Kong until the 2004 tournament in China. However, since the Summer Olympic Games and the European Football Championship were also scheduled in the same year as the Asian Cup, the AFC decided to move their championship to a less crowded cycle. Khodadad Azizi
Khodadad Azizi ( fa, خداداد عزیزی; born 22 June 1971) is an Iranian football coach and former player who played as a striker. Club career After playing for a few clubs in Iran and following his performance in Asia, he moved to Germany in 1997 to play for 1. FC Köln. Azizi, along with his Iranian national teammates Ali Daei and Karim Bagheri, were among the first Iranians to enter the Bundesliga. Having played for three seasons in 1. FC Köln, he signed a contract with California-based club San Jose Earthquakes, became the second Iranian player to play in the United States' Major League Soccer. Nahum Stelmach
Nahum Stelmach ( he, נחום סטלמך; – ) was an Israeli footballer and manager. Biography Stelmach was born in Petah Tikva, British Mandate of Palestine (now Israel), to a Jewish family. He was chosen third by ''Yediot Aharonots greatest Israeli footballers. He made a name for himself as the leader of Hapoel Petah Tikva. At the height of his career in Hapoel Petah Tikva, Stelmach received offers to sign for Arsenal and Fenerbahçe but declined due to his loyalty to the team. He led his team to five national championships, four of them consecutive. His most recognizable attribute was the quality of his headers, with which he scored most of his international goals. Almoez Ali Zainalabedeen Mohamed Abdulla ( ar, المعز علي زين العابدين محمد عبد الله; born 19 August 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Qatar Stars League side Al-Duhail, whom he captains. Born in Sudan, he plays for the Qatar national team. Ali is a member of the Qatar squad which won the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, where he scored nine goals, which also serves as the record for most goals scored at an Asian Cup. 2019 AFC Asian Cup
The 2019 AFC Asian Cup was the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It was held in the United Arab Emirates from 5 January to 1 February 2019. For the first time, the Asian Cup final tournament was contested by 24 teams, having been expanded from the 16-team format that was used from 2004 to 2015. Under this new format, the finalists would contest a group stage consisting of six groups of four teams, followed by a knockout stage of 16 teams. The host nation qualified for the final tournament automatically, while the remaining 23 places were determined among the other 45 national teams of the AFC through a qualifying competition running from 2015 to 2018, part of which also served as part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification process for the confederation. Massimo Corey Luongo ( ; born 25 September 1992) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Middlesbrough and the Australia national team. Born in Sydney, Luongo played youth football for APIA Leichhardt Tigers before moving to England to play for Tottenham Hotspur, where he started his professional career. The 2015 AFC Asian Cup was the 16th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Younis Mahmoud Khalaf ( ar, يونس محمود خلف; born 3 February 1983) is an Iraqi former professional footballer who played as a forward for the Iraq national football team and is currently the second vice-president of the Iraq Football Association.
