Associació Esportiva Palma de Mallorca Fútbol Sala is a futsal club based in Palma de Mallorca, city of the autonomous community of Balearic Islands. The club was founded in 1998 and its stadium is Estadio Son Moix with capacity of 1,000 seaters. In July 2014, the club was transferred from Manacor to Palma de Mallorca changing the club name to AE Palma Futsal and playing from 2014 to 2015 season in Palau d'Esports Son Moix. The 2016 Copa de España de Fútbol Sala is the 27th staging of the Copa de España de Fútbol Sala. It takes place in Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha from 10 – 13 March. The matches are played at Palacio Multiusos for up to 5,894 seats. The tournament is hosted by Castilla-La Mancha regional government, Guadalajara municipality & LNFS. Ciudad Real hosts Copa de España for first time. Defending champions are Jaén Paraíso Interior, that caused a great upset last year when defeated seeded No.3, FC Barcelona in the Final could not defend the title due to failed to qualify to the tournament. The 2015–16 season of the Primera División de Fútbol Sala was the 27th season of top-tier futsal in Spain. It was the fifth season under the "Primera División" name. The regular season started on September 11, 2015, and ended on April 30, 2016. The championship playoffs followed the end of the regular season. Inter Movistar are the defending champions by defeating ElPozo Murcia 3 games to 1 in the 2014–15 Championship Final series, winning its tenth title overall and second in a row. Uruguay Tenerife and Prone Lugo finished in the last two places in the league and so were relegated at the end of the 2014-2015 regular season. UMA Antequera were crowned 2014-2015 champions of Segunda División de Futsal and were promoted automatically. The 2014–15 Copa del Rey was the 5th staging of the Copa del Rey de Futsal. The competition began on 23 and 24 September 2013 with First round matches. The Final took place on 2 May at Pabellón Diego Calvo Valera, in Águilas, Region of Murcia. Barcelona Alusport is the defending champion after winning its fourth title in previous edition but will not able to defend its title after they were defeated in Semifinals to Inter Movistar.
