ADK (company)
, formerly known as , was a Japanese video game developer founded in 1980. ADK began as a developer of arcade games and is best known for their library of SNK Neo Geo (system), Neo Geo titles, including for its home consoles, produced in partnership with SNK. Most notable among these are their fighting games and, in particular, the ''World Heroes'' series and ''Aggressors of Dark Kombat''. The company closed with properties sold to SNK Playmore in 2003. History Early years ADK was founded in July 1980 in video gaming, 1980 in Ageo, Saitama, Japan. At the time, it was known as ''Alpha Denshi'' or ''Alpha'' for short. Originally a producer of audio and telecommunications equipment, Alpha first ventured into video games in 1980 with two arcade titles: by Craul Denshi and Tecmo, Tehkan's , a basic Shogi, Japanese chess game. Aggressors Of Dark Kombat
''Aggressors of Dark Kombat'', known in Japan as or ''GanGan'', is a 1994 fighting arcade game developed by Alpha Denshi Corp. (ADK) and published by SNK. It was also released on SNK's Neo Geo AES and Neo Geo CD home consoles, and in later decades appeared on retro compilations and digital storefronts. The English game title uses the same initials as the developer and the title is parodying the name of Midway's ''Mortal Kombat'' series. The game's defining feature was that, while it uses a generally 2D format, characters can move towards or away from the screen (somewhat similar to the "Oversway" system from the later SNK title '' Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory''). While some reviews praised this mechanic, critics generally remarked that it offers no meaningful innovation and that the game is generic and lacking in depth. Though a modest success, ''Aggressors of Dark Kombat'' failed to match the popularity of the leading SNK fighters. Gameplay The game's major innovat ...

Twinkle Star Sprites
is a 1996 competitive scrolling shooter arcade game originally created by ADK. It was ADK's last production for the Neo Geo platform. The gameplay, which can be characterized as a combination of a fixed shooter and a versus puzzle game, uses combinations of shots, as well as timed power-ups to attempt to damage the opponent. These attacks also serve as counters to the opponent's attack. Gameplay There are two types of standard attacks: a normal shot and a charge-up shot. Each character starts with two bombs, which clean the screen while briefly granting the player invincibility. The two players' playfields are separated by a vertical bar; each playfield is independent of the other. Series of enemies arrive from the top of the screen. The player must destroy them in chains (combos), which will send one or more fireball projectiles the opponent's screen (Normal Attack). Shooting a Normal Attack several times reflects it back as a glowing Reverse Attack. If Reverse Attacks are r ...
