ACS Unirea Bascov
Asociația Club Sportiv Unirea Bascov, commonly known as Unirea Bascov, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bascov, Argeș County and currently playing in the Liga III. History The club was founded in 2007 as ''AS Valea Ursului''. In 2014, the team merged with ''AS Bascov'' to formed Unirea Bascov. In the 2014–15 season, led by coach Alin Lipa, the team won the county championship, but missed the promotion in Liga III, after being defeated 4–2 on aggregate by FC Aninoasa, the champion of Dâmbovița County. After a 2nd place in the 2015–16 season, in 2016–17 season, ''the bears'', with Alin Chița on the bench, won for the second time the county championship, but lost again the promotion 4–1 on aggregate in front of FC Avrig, the champion of Sibiu County. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia D into Liga IV before the start of play for the 2006–07 season. Current format Liga IV has 42 divisions. The divisions are regionalised and are organised by every county association. Each team plays in their own county. The county associations decide how many teams play in the league and how many matches each side plays. In Romania the most frequently used system is one division with matches played home and away. A number of associations prefer 2 or even 4 parallel divisions with the teams finishing first meeting in a play-off to decide the champion. The number of teams differ from one county association to another. The Mureș County association has the fewest teams, 8, which play in a Scottish system, playing 4 times against one another. 2019–20 Liga III
The 2019–20 Liga III was the 64th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season was initially scheduled to begin on 24 August 2019 and to end on 30 May 2020. The season was interrupted on 9 March 2020, after 16 rounds, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After two months of inactivity, on 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the season was discontinued and the best ranked teams from each series (after 16 rounds) were promoted to Liga II, only if the distance between the leader and the runner-up was bigger than 3 points. Otherwise promotion play-offs will be played between the best two teams of the series. 2022–23 Liga III
The 2022–23 Liga III will be the 67th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season will begin in August 2022 and is scheduled to end in June 2023. This season is the third consecutive with a format that will include 100 teams (10x10). The format was changed two seasons ago, due to the financial problems generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
