ACM SIGMETRICS
SIGMETRICS is the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Measurement and Evaluation, which specializes in the field of performance analysis, measurement, and modeling of computer systems. It is also the name of an annual 'flagship' conference, organized by SIGMETRICS since 1973, which is considered to be the leading conference in performance analysis and modeling in the world. Known to have an extremely competitive acceptance rate (~15%), many of the landmark works in the area have been published through it. Beyond the flagship conference, SIGMETRICS also promotes research into performance evaluation through a number of other activities. It was founded in 1947 and is the world's largest scientific and educational computing society. Devavrat Shah
Devavrat Shah is a professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at MIT. He is director of the Statistics and Data Science Center at MIT. He received a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from IIT Bombay in 1999 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2004, where his thesis was completed under the supervision of Balaji Prabhakar. Alexandre Proutiere
Alexandre Proutiere is a professor of Electrical Engineering at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology.
