ABU International Dance Festival 2017
The ABU International Dance Festival 2017 was the inaugural ABU International Dance Festival, which took place in Shilpakala Vedika, in Hyderabad, India on 15 January 2017. Indian national broadcasters Doordarshan (DD) and All India Radio (AIR), which are part of the public broadcasting agency Prasar Bharati (PB), will be in charge of organising the event. The festival was originally scheduled to take place in New Delhi in November 2016, but was later moved to a new host city and the festival dates subsequently changed. The competition is for amateur dancers between the ages of 18 and 25, who will perform two dance routines. As this is the inaugural festival, all participating countries will be making their debut. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU or APBU), formed in 1964, is a non-profit, professional association of broadcasting organisations. It currently has over 287 members in 57 countries and regions, reaching a potential audience of about 3 billion people. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the fifteenth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The Eurovision Young Dancers 2017 was the fifteenth and final edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers competition. The final took place at the Prague Congress Centre in the Czech capital, Prague on 16 December 2017. This was the second consecutive time that the Czech national broadcaster, Česká televize (ČT), organised the contest. Eurovision Choir of the Year 2017 was the first Eurovision Choir competition for choral singers, which was organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Interkultur. ABU Song Festivals
The ABU Song Festivals are non-competitive song concert galas based on the Eurovision Song Contest. The format consists of two shows, a Radio Song Festival and TV Song Festival, organised by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU). Participating countries that have full or additional full ABU membership are invited to submit a song to be performed in front of a live audience. The radio festival was a competitive show with a panel of judges determining the top-5 prize winners and is broadcast via live radio that later transitioned to a non-competitive gala format. Shilpakala Vedika is a terracotta auditorium and convention centre located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The auditorium is in area. "Shilpa" means sculpture, ''kala'' means art, and ''vedika'' means platform. Hence it is an art sculpture platform. The convention center includes an auditorium, which is flexible in design and offers a variety of configurations, and is noted for Telugu film audio release functions.
